Chapter #4The Magikarp ship and the Predatory Poliwag by: sneakyk (Pokemon pred. Vore. Mild interaction)
You stand at the very edge of the sea, looking off into the vast waters of route 21. The scent of salty seawater mixes with the scents of the soil and grass around you, the warmth of the summer morning remaining a constant. The waters of Route 21 are relatively shallow, but their depths vary wildly. Averaging at perhaps 3 feet, the route is more than deep enough to host a variety of small marine life that is nevertheless gigantic to you. Islands of sand are speckled across the route. You can actually see distant people standing upon some of them, as well as a few Krabby. These islands form natural checkpoints for land-dwellers, but serve as natural bottlenecks for marine life. The population here is almost surely going to be dominated by Swimmers, Fishers, and Tubers, for whatever it's worth.
You turn your attention towards the Magikarp toy.
Something about the Magikarp toy strikes you as odd, and you decide to investigate it further. As you approach, you notice that it appears to be something more than just an ordinary floating pooltoy. What appears to be a functioning propeller is positioned between the tailfins, and although it wouldn't be unreasonable for such a toy to come with a propeller, this 'toy' also happens to be equipped with what appears to be a tiny door embedded in its side. Immediately beside the door is a small railed platform, clearly meant to ease access into the door, and a ladder connecting to the top of the ship. These details are all too finely crafted for a simple pool-toy to possess. Could it be that this is some sort of transportation device designed for people of your diminished height?
This is all too convenient to be a coincidence
Or it would be all too convenient were it not for the fact that, small though you may be, even at your diminished height you couldn't possibly hope to fit yourself into the tiny frame of the door. This is more a ship for ants than for mice! nevertheless, you cannot help but investigate. You hop into the salty seawater and swim your way over towards the platform. Although the platform is too narrow to conveniently fit your body you manage to reach over the railing and grab at the door. Unsurprisingly, the door opens up. Peering in you find that the interior of the little Magikarp submarine is indeed fully functional. If only you could fit inside.
As you inspect the interior, you feel a strange sensation flooding over you. It isn't the waves of the sea water...no. It's a dizzying, almost electric sensation. To your shock, you find your body shrinking down to fit the size of the doorway! You pull yourself all the way over the railing and sit on the platform for a moment, trying to make sense of what's happening. Now you aren't even the size of the mouse...you're at most an inch in height. And why. Why did you shrink even further than you already were before? Could it have something to do with the fact that you needed to be small to enter the vehicle?
Whatever the case , you decide to venture into the ship. Making it into the interior, you find what appears to be a control mechanism and a periscope, as well as several monitors that must be linked to well-hidden cameras on the exterior of the vehicle. A comfy looking seat rests just in front of the control mechanism, and there are a few other amenities off to the side. All in all, you're allowed an impressive view of your surroundings from the helm. It'll just take some practice to get used to....
But as you're about to take control of the helm, you hear a woman's voice coming from behind you. "The hell do you think you're doing?" Turning around, you see the figure standing at the entrance, clad in a navy blue outfit fit for a pirate, armed with a pistol in hand. She holds her gun steady, its muzzle pointed straight for you. The thought that it may well just be a toy briefly passes through your head, but you'd rather not take any chances. You put your arms up in surrender. "I'm sorry! I didn't realize this thing belonged to someone." You say in your defense. In all honesty, you really should have known better.
The woman shakes her head. "Are you insane? You find a perfectly good ship docked and you think it's yours for the taking? "
She growls, pointing her gun at you. You apologize again. "I'm sorry. I JUST woke up like this...I have no idea why everything is so big. Please. I'm sorry. Just let me go." The woman grumbles in response. "You know what? I don't blame you. The normies are the real problem anyway." She says, sighing. "I'll let you stay but you gotta..."
She is cut off by the sudden and ferocious rocking of the ship, accompanied by the frightful so und of something immense shooting out of the water. . She lets out a shriek. You're sent tumbling onto your side, both of you staggered and dazed. As you come to your senses, you catch a glimpse of something on the other end of the opening. A huge aquatic Pokemon is lurking just outside of the ship, no doubt peering in through the opening. Turning towards one of the monitors, you realize the Pokemon in question to be a lowly Poliwag.
The woman desperately scrambles forward, only for the rocking of the ship to send her tumbling back. Before she can get up again, the enormous Poliwag presses its lips against the opening and begins to suck. BLAM BLAM BLAM. Three gunshots ring out, but if they hit their target, the target certainly didn't notice. Soon the woman disappears into the Poliwag's maw...and you aren't far behind! You find yourself getting sucked inward by an intensely powerful whirlwind, your body getting closer and cloer to the opening..close and closer to your demise. Struggle though you might, you are swept to the opening, where a miserable end within a pokemon's belly awaits.
You strike the wall of the ship's interior just relative inches away from the opening, the sucking force mere moments away from pulling you out through the opening as if you were the last droplet of soda in a cup getting sucked up through a straw. Just as it seems like all hope is lost, the whirlwind dies down, the Poliwag likely pausing between breaths. Not wanting to take it to chance, you reach out and grab the door and quickly slam it shut. With no time to process the events that just happened, you rush for the helm and send the ship speeding away form the Poliwag, who can only look on in confusion at the retreating 'toy.' Deeming it not worth the effort, the Poliwag darts away through the water, looking for a better food source.
Your first encounter with another tiny person....and it could have gone better. You learned nothing of your predicament save for the fact that you're not the only tiny person. Worse, the other party is now screaming for her life within the spiral innards of a Poliwag. You briefly try to devise some plan to save her, but any plan you make would be doomed to failure. Sad as it may seem, there's simply no way to save her at this point.
And so, you're left to press on alone... indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
