Hogwarts is a magical building which has stood for a several hundred years, and has collected as well as magical artifacts, a number of enchantments and even curses, most famously the one on the Defense Against the Dark Arts position apparently placed their by a young Voldemort himself, but there have been others such as the one we're discussing now, a much older and unfortunately more powerful curse.
Every year 4 7th year witches shrink to the size of dolls, usually in late September to early October. No spell, potion or ritual have been able to remove the curse while it's active, though it has been known to fade provided certain conditions are avoided, though the affected witch will still be handheld for at least 5 years.
While never confirmed (magicals are lazy arseholes like that) it's believed celibacy will improve the witch's chances of growing back, a difficult task when the curse also increases the tiny woman's libido, as well as making her supernaturally attractive to wizards, witches, muggles and even some magical creatures. Honestly that might be why nobody has bothered to check if that was rumor or an actual fact, nobody could keep their hands off the tinies for 5 straight years. Not that anyone could blame them.
So, what little witch has the unfortunate fate of being a living doll and potentially someone's tiny pet/sex toy? (Obviously there will be 3 others, but I like to focus on a singular character to make things easier, sorry)
1) Hermione Granger, back after the war to complete her Hogwarts education
2) Luna Lovegood, surprisingly (or maybe not, it's Luna after all) she's been hoping to be the 'victim' of the curse ever since she heard about it
3) Lily Evans, her being a muggleborn making things much more 'complicated'
4) Fleur Delecour, as the curse is more age based than student based, her being a 7th year Beaubaton student in Hogwarts makes her a valid target
