Welcome to Waterfront City; the American city where the city don't know where the city is kept. A bit cryptic but darkly accurate. There is no information to be found about my hometown in any book or anywhere on the world wide web. It was as if someone or some group did not want anyone to know my city even existed. Well, that suits me just fine; we don't need to become a tourist town. My sister, Melissa and I pretty much raised ourselves while mom and dad spent their time gallivanting around the world trying to solve the mystery of our city and others like it who knows where. We were always well fed and cared for by our uncle but we really had no family time.
That was what had moved me to accept an offer to join a group we called the Problem Child Gang. I was tempted to get Melissa involved but I did not want to see her get hurt so I kept her in the dark. She and I were both known to leave home for days to weeks at a time, sleeping over with other families. So long as uncle knew where we were, there was no issues; again, no real family time...
I sighed, looking up from a journal Geo insisted I write into; the cellphone he had given me was ringing. I answered on the third ring. "Talk to me..."
That was how we all had to answer our cellphones even though no one but those in our group should have our number. Still, we could not allow anything to fall to chance.
"We have a situation down town." Flatly, Geo said. "We are waiting below."
I turned to see Melissa looking at me in concern. "Something wrong?"
"Just the usual." Loud enough for Geo to hear, I replied. "The guys want to hang out."
"Another guys night out?" Rolling her eyes, Melissa asked.
"Nothing stops you from having a girl's night out." Smiling, I replied.
With that, I ran to my room and changed into my 'hero' costume before climbing out my window and jumping down to the ground. Having super strength, it was no problem for me to leap from the second floor. I ran for a telephone booth and dialed a certain number, causing the floor to give way. I fell down below the street to a series of underground roads going everywhere where I met the rest of my team.
