One day at Tommy Pickles' house, Didi was in the bathroom, giving Dil a bath. Unfortunately, bathing Dil was much easier said than done. Dil didn't like his bath too much, as he fussed and he splashed about, getting Didi wet. At last, five minutes passed in the tub and Dil was clean. Didi dried Dil off and was ready to dress him in the purple shirt and clean diaper she set aside for him. Unfortunately, to her horror, they were both soaked from the bathwater. She began to worry what she was going to do. She thought for a moment, then she remembered when Tommy took off his clothes to be naked like Spike, as well as Dr. Lipschitz's advice on how to deal with the situation.
"The spontaneous shedding of clothing by infants is a natural outgrowth of their desire to control their physical environment and explore their personal space."
In other words, it's perfectly normal for a baby to be naked when he or she grows up.
"Okay, Dil. I guess you can spend one hour naked in the playpen." Didi told Dil, who cooed happily. Didi carried Dil into the living room and sat him down in his purple prop-up pillow in the playpen, where Tommy and Spike were. Tommy was dressed in his usual light blue t-shirt and diaper.
