“How did I even get like this?” Luz wondered along once she dropped from her lunch tray and onto the massive purple table. She thought she was having a glorious time enjoying massive pieces of food that could keep her fed for months, but instead she was about as small as a speck while her two friends nearby were like massive titans. Each move they did seemed like they’ll obliterate her or knock her off her feet without warning.
From below, she watched Willow and Amity take a few bites into their own meals. For a moment Luz felt happy that they were able to become friends again after some rough times. Now she needed their help if she were to find a way to get back to normal size. She couldn’t just stay there and do nothing after all, but how can she even get they attention?
The tiny Luz looked around quickly and soon spotted a spoon bent down on Amity’s lunch tray. Seeing the massive utensil gave her a good idea on what to do, so she raced towards it while making sure there were no sudden movements from her friend. Once she got to it, she got in the bowl and waited for the hand to pick her up.
Luz wasn’t sure if this was a good plan. Being on a giant spoon was an invitation to either being spotted or plunged into a giant pile of food and being sent to someone’s maw, but she had a feeling that any other options could end with her being crushed by a hand or brushed aside like dirt. She looked down at the reflective surface of the utensil and sighed, “You can do this, Luz. You’ve got this.” She told herself while searching for a light glyph in her pocket.
Up above, Willow noticed Amity giving a few glances at the lunch room while her hand dug through a bag of Hex Mix. It wasn’t so much of a problem, she just happened to notice it after a while but knew exactly why. Eventually, she decided to ask, “You’re still looking for Luz, aren’t you?”
Amity paused before she could shove a few pieces in her mouth, “N-No, I mean yeah! She really should be here eating the rest of her lunch. Look!” She pointed at the PB&J sandwich while trying hard not to blush, “That’s just one bite, she needs to finish the rest of it.”
“I’m sure she will, she must be pretty busy with her thing.” Said Willow, taking a sip of her Apple Blood juice box.
“Maybe too busy. She should be hanging out here with us, talking about stuff and getting us into all sorts of trouble. I mean there’s plenty of things to do together and-“
“You know, from the sound of it, it’s like you wanted to spend the entire day with her-“
Amity’s face became red and she quickly slammed one hand down on the handle of the spoon. “N-No I don’t. Someone needs to make sure she doesn’t get into trouble!”
Willow was certainly not fooled by her lies, and instead smiled at how easily she made her embarrassed. It certainly made her day a bit better. “Well, you’re right on that part. She’s gonna need someone to look after her, do you think I can trust you to handle that sort of thing?”
“You can trust me.” Boasted Amity, pointing at herself with her thumb once she stopped blushing. “I’d make sure Luz is safe.” Too bad she didn’t know that she just put her dear friend in danger.
The tiny girl was still on the spoon but had been distracted by her friend’s conversation. She understood Amity’s worry a bit, and was surprised at how much she cared. Hard to imagine they were bitter enemies at first, now they were pretty close, and it seemed like she wanted to cherish it in any way she could. “Aww, that’s so sweet of you, Amity.” That was when the hand landed straight on the spoon’s handle.
“AHHH!” The spoon’s bowl was raised like a large seesaw, launching Luz high in the air. It was a short time up there, but she was spiraling and lost her sense of direction. Everything became a blur of colors to her eyes. At last, she was falling towards somewhere, but wherever it was couldn’t be anywhere good so she braced herself for the worst. Where does she end up after the fall?
1. Luz falls into Amity’s Hex Bag and is hidden amongst the nuts and pretzels. She tries to escape but Amity’s hand plunges in to take a portion and shove it in her mouth. Can Luz avoid getting eaten alive?
2. Luz lands inside a navy-blue forest, but it turns out to be anything but. She soon discovers she landed in Willow’s hair. Can she get out or will she have to hold on if Willow decides to do anything else?
3. Luz gets flying until she ends in somewhere soft. Turns out it was a cupcake and it was being held by rival, Boscha. Will she become an additional part of her treat or will she escape?
