At the heart of the Curiosity lies the Roden's greatest achievement: the Kantor Reactor. Roughly the size of a small starship, it produces ludicrous amounts of energy all the while being completely renewable.
It works by… well… you don’t really know. You remember asking one of the Roden eggheads what exactly makes the reactor tick, and you want that hour of your life back. She just kept blabbering on and on, throwing out terms like “fourth dimensional rift” and “isolated particle metaidentity” like you were supposed to know what the hell those are.
Thankfully you don’t need a degree in defying thermodynamics in order to properly maintain and repair the thing. It’s rather simple really, but it does require a bit of elbow grease, which is why there are also a few Roden mechanics present in the maintenance team.
Another feature of the Kantor Reactor, which much of the maintenance crew insists is the most important feature, is the fact that it produces a lot of heat. Like, insane levels of heat. Even with all of the advanced cooling systems, the expansive engine room ends up hotter than a sauna. Which is why most of the maintenance crew opts to forego their issued overalls and work wearing as little as decency would allow(some with even less on), even with the danger of scalding yourself.

And we finally get to you. You have a name, It’s just that nobody really uses it. Instead everyone refers to you by your nickname “Sweat Rag”. And with a nickname like that it would be safe to assume you don’t command much respect around the workplace, especially among the Roden members of the crew, which are the reason you got the nickname in the first place.
