"As you wish, Master," Ina replied. The machine started churning away at Mayl's request, and in a few seconds, Mayl started to grow. Rapidly. Her servants scrambled away, in a futile attempt to spare themselves. Of course, they're the first ones to go.
(AUTHOR'S NOTE: I may have gone a bit too overboard with the growth.)
Quickly, she begins growing, Soon, she breaks out of Ao's basement, through her house, but it wasn't done yet. Through the roof, she continued growing. Soon enough, she was nearly 100 times bigger, comparable to the size of a building. She continued growing, and growing. Mayl grew at an exponential rate, her size increasing tenfold every couple of seconds.
She soon passed the 1 mile mark, with her feet as big as skyscrapers. She kept on growing larger, plowing through cities. She grew past 10 miles, planes flying near her forehead, and her thumb the size of a city block. She continued growing, passing the 100 mile mark, towering over all that she could see. At 1000 miles, she was comparable to the size of countries. A single step could simply crush millions.
Soon, she realized that the machine had interpreted her instructions as if she wanted to be bigger than the Earth.
She passed the size of the Earth, then ten times its size. Her growth began slowing down. Soon, she was 100 times as big as the Earth, and her expansion slowed to a near halt. Somehow, the machine had kept itself intact despite the destruction her single command caused to civilization. Apparently, it was just awaiting Mayl's next instruction.
She took the blue and green marble from its orbit and held it in her palm. Everything she once had, riches, influence, she had no need for it, when she had Ao's machine to fulfill her will. She could command planets into existence, or crush them out of existence with minimal effort. Her will could be reality, the entire Universe her playground. Floating in the empty expanse of space, Mayl...  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
