On the Earth below, panic hit a historic high as something people could only describe as a goddess emerged out of nowhere. Though she was probably quite far away, her form took over the entire sky for the Western hemisphere. She was an infinite being, only her top half completely visible to the people below.
World powers dropped any kind of warfare and scrambled to get some planetary defense going, but most people knew this was it. Unless this interstellar goddess was gentle, death was imminent. Any who followed a religion sent prayers, all the while the being moved closer. All of a sudden, the tides changed, her immense center of gravity drawing in the moon. If she were to stay still, perhaps the entire galaxy would revolve around her.
Panic rose even more as the hand of infinite proportions came closer to the Earth. As it got closer, it seemed to grow. One fingertip looked larger than the moon itself. It could cover an entire continent, her whole hand could grasp the Earth like a baseball. The momentum of her hand moving towards the Earth sent a tremendous wind just on its own; many people died before she even arrived, either from being swept away in the violent winds or getting crushed by debris. They were the lucky ones.
As the hand stopped, the entire Earth could see nothing but flesh. Her face was gone, her body blocked, and now the entire sky was darkened by this girl's hand. People scrambled where light was unavailable, leaving the monumental fingers that were rushing towards the Earth dark and imposing.
In the last moments, people merely accepted their fate. Some opened their arms in worship, others fired their weapons. And then it all ended. Those not in the vicinity of her fingertip were wiped out by the debris cascading from the impact. Molten lava seeped from cracks made by the gigantic fingers, and just like that it was over.
