He recognized the smell immediately, something that made his mouth water at the sight and was perfect for both lunchtime and dinner (and maybe breakfast, but that’s for different types of people). With its customizable flavor toppings and warm sizzling surface that delighted tastebuds all around, Peter knew that this could only be one thing: Pizza.
“How did I even end up here?” He said out loud, his hands touching the cheese surface that held quite well. He wondered if that package had something to do with it, somehow transporting him onto a giant pizza locked away inside a cardboard box. That could only mean he shrunk somehow, or he ended up in some dimension where everything is gigantic, but the former sounded more plausible than anything.
From the looks of it, he wasn’t even in the center. He was a good distance away from the hard crust in the corners, something that was either discarded or saved last. Maybe if he could get there, he’ll avoid what happened next, because if he knows one thing about pizza, it’s that no slice will be left behind.
Sure enough, the cardboard box began to open. He had a bad feeling that whoever opened this box wasn’t alone. If he was lucky, then maybe whoever purchased the pizza might spot the tiny Peter among its toppings. If not…then he was gonna have to run.
