An empty bed, the one he had woke up many times before, this confused Subaru why was he in from of the Ned and not on it? He died why wasn't he back where he had started?
But he immediately noticed that wasn't the only weird thing with him, a light blue lock of hair was covering one of his eyes, when he moved it out of his face, he noticed the long black sleeve with white frills covering his arm, his hand also looked smaller and more feminine.
"Uhh?" Subaru mumbled, confused by what he was wearing, but he was going to realise it wasn't just his arms, when he looked at himself, he noticed he was wearing a black and white maid's uniform, which let exposed part of his neckline, allowing him to see a pair of breast attached to his chest, covered by the uniform that also allowed him to see his exposed shoulders.
As if the situation wasn't weird enough, Subaru noticed that the uniform was indeed a dress, he uselessly tugged from the frilly skirt, thinking that somehow would make it larger, he stoped and saw the white tights he now had, allowing him to appreciate his now shapely legs, it didn't take long for him to realise he was lacking something important between his legs, blushing when he accidentally touched where his manhood was supposed to be, feeling like a pervert he took his hand away from that part of his body.
It finally hit him what had happened, the light blue hair, the maid uniform, the fact that he was clearly a woman now, he had swapped bodies with Rem!
"But how? This has never happened before, will he switch bodies every time I die now? And what happened to the real Rem, is she in my body? And where is my body!?" Subaru getting more tense with each question, things since he came to this odd world had been rocky, bur this was too much for him, the fact that he was hearing Rem's sweet voice coming out if him didn't help either.
