Following the gaze of the tiny politician so far up on the podium, you turned around to face away from him. You didn’t have an amazing view between the crowd of other tiny guys in front of you, as well as the protective ring of giant women also blocking your view, but standing on your tiptoes allowed you to see over most of the other guys heads and between the legs of the women to see a very nice car pulling up at the side of the street, not far from where you were dropped off by your taxi.
You couldn’t see the face of the woman who stepped out of the back of the car, but what you did see was a pair of long legs, clad in a pair of very short shorts, and feet encased in a casual pair of vans sneakers.
The hush that fell over the women surrounding the group, as well as the cheers that seemed to emerge from the counter protest, told you that this could be only a bad thing.
“Hey Miles, I saw you were arranging a little protest here and thought you might want to have a little debate, present a balanced representation of this issue?” The voice of Amy Baker was instantly recognisable, and you could see Miles tense even from where you were standing. The bad blood between Miles Jacob and Amy Baker was public knowledge. After all, Amy Baker had helped usher in an era of politics that his values were in complete opposition to. Thanks to Baker’s Law, tiny rights have been slowly eroded, with increasing frequency of amendments to the law bringing further and further restrictions to tinies lives.
Amy Baker, for her part, argues that the law helps protect the rights of those tinies who want to live differently to the norm, and embrace the talents that are unique to their kind. The good natured woman doesn’t seem to realise the damage that she has wrought on many lives by championing what she perceives as their best interests. She also doesn’t seem to realise that Miles has a dislike for her.
The two butt heads frequently, and she has been known to interrupt his rallies on occasion. You know from watching the two “debate” that it is mostly Amy airheadedly misconstruing what Miles says and using her admittedly vast wealth of political knowledge to outmanoeuvre him, a back and forth that you know frustrates the tiny politician to no end.
As the line of women parted to let the newcomer through, not wanting to cause a scene, you were given the full view of Amy Baker.
At twenty three years old, Amy had only matured since her political career skyrocketed with the advent of Baker’s Law. Her denim shorts and purple crop top did little to hide her gargantuan curves, which had only seemed to have grown as her political career had. Her attire was very casual for a political figure, especially compared to the suit that Miles was wearing.
Looking at the sway of her hips as she began to walk through the crowd towards her political rival, you pitied the poor tiny who you knew for a fact was at this moment wrapped around them, as he had for the past 5 years.
As Amy made her way straight towards the podium that Miles was standing on, the crowd of tinies parted to avoid the heavy footfalls of her sneaker clad feet. To her credit, Amy did try to step gently, and there was no way of moving around the crowd of tinies since it was gathered right in front of the stairs leading up to the podium. However, even attempting to watch where she was stepping, Amy’s monumental chest completely obscured her view of where she was actually stepping, and you watched at least ten tiny guys who were too slow to move out of the way disappear under her feet. Some were left a crumpled mess on the pavement when her foot lifted to take another step, but many others weren’t so lucky, and were carried along, stuck in the treads of her shoes.
“Sorry for intruding in your space guys, thanks for letting me through,” Amy’s cheery tone of voice heavily contrasted with the carnage that her footfalls were causing. You breathed a sigh of relief when she finally reached the stairs, having ran out of tiny guys to step on, and that you hadn’t wound up in her path.
“Um, miss Baker, you have just trodden on several members of the crowd!” Miles’ called to his rival, exasperated by her airheadedness. Miles statement also drew the attention of the counter protest to what Amy had done, since they had been too far away to actually see it. You heard cheers go up amongst the threatening crowd of women, as many of them approached about half the distance that was between the two crowds to get a better view.
“Oh! I’m soo sorry little guys, I thought you had all gotten out of the way,” Amy frantically apologised, before squeamishly scraping the tinies off of her shoes onto the stairs, before continuing up to meet Miles at the podium.
“Miss Baker, if you are quite done crushing my supporters, then I’d happily debate you on this issue,” Miles spoke through gritted teeth, you could tell that he really didn’t like dealing with Amy Baker. “Just wait a moment and my assistant will go fetch you another podium.”
“That’s not a problem, we can just share this one!” Amy exclaimed, before rushing behind the podium Miles’ one was standing on, completely ignoring the protests of the tiny man in front of her. “It’s fine, I’m not that big you know! And you don’t take up that much space, we’ll both fit comfortably behind here I think.”
Miles grumbled in annoyance, before shaking it off and turning his attention to the crowd.
“Thank you all for coming to help me shine a light on the gross injustice that this amendment to Baker’s law would thrust upon us-“
“We don’t wanna hear from you tiny, let Miss Baker talk!” A voice from the counter protest, amplified by a megaphone, cut Miles off mid speach.
“She knows what she’s talking about, unlike you!” Several voices from the counter protest emerged, all affirming the point that the previous one had said.
“Now now, you all know that’s not how debate works,” Amy silenced the crowd. “This is Mr Jacob’s rally, he should be allowed to speak first.”
As Amy spoke, she leaned forward to get near the microphone, and you, along with everyone else, watched as Miles was cast in the shadow of Amy’s rapidly descending bosom. The prominent tiny rights politician disappeared underneath Amy’s titanic chest, and she didn’t even seem to notice, too focused on calming the crowd of her supporters.
A collective gasp emerged from your crowd, and a cheer burst out from the counter protest, all of those women clearly ecstatic to see their politician putting a tiny “in his place”.
As Amy sees the crowds reaction, does she realise what she has just done?
1) Amy notices that she has crushed Miles and lets him reform. Miles let’s his frustration get the better of him and yells at Amy, making both him and his side of the debate look bad, which the media exploits.
2) Amy notices that she has crushed Miles and lets him reform. He keeps his composure and the debate keeps going.
3) Amy doesn’t notice that she has crushed him, and gets distracted by the crowd, inadvertently hijacking the rally for herself and spreading pro-amendment messages unopposed to the crowd and the news crews present.
