It's still connected to her throat, which'll get us to her stomach where the ring is, but we won't have to risk getting chewed to bits in her mouth," Sid reasoned.
"Sounds good to me," Ronnie Anne agreed. "Okay, let's do this."
"Hang onto your ponytail," Sid said excitedly as she gripped the steering wheel. "Takeoff in t-minus three... two... one!"
The miniature submarine shot off like a bullet with the two shrunken girls inside of it. Sid turned out to be a surprisingly good pilot as she carefully flew the sub through the air around the apartment. When they didn't see Carlota in the living room or the dining room, they figured she must've gone back to her own apartment, so they flew under the door, across the hallway and into the second apartment.
There, the girls found Carlota lying on her bed and websurfing on her laptop. "Target in sight. Setting a course for the left nostril," Sid said, really getting into the whole Top Secret Mission mindset. As they got closer, they couldn't help but marvel at how massive Carlota currently was from their perspective. They were basically the size of a flea to her right now, which made Ronnie Anne even more nervous.
"Careful, Sid. If Carlota sees us, she might try to squish us," Ronnie Anne warned.
"Don't worry. We're almost there," Sid reassured. Soon, they felt the suction of Carlota's nose pulling them in. Luckily, Sid managed to keep the ship on course and they made it inside in one piece. "And we're in," Sid declared.
The inside of Carlota's nose was dark, so Sid turned on the headlights, allowing them to see more clearly. It was like a long, damp cavern covered in sinus flesh, long moist hairs sticking out like stelagmites, and surprisingly very little mucus. "Okay, so now what do we do?"  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
