Chapter #5Visit the Casagrandes. by: G-Breaker "Lincoln, come on!" Lori called to him from the driveway. "We have to go now, remember?" Lincoln then facepalmed as he nearly forgot what he had planned for the day. He and Lori planned to visit Ronnie Anne and the Casagrandes in Great Lakes City today. He then looked at his new shrinking watch and got an idea.
"Coming Lori!" Lincoln said. He then got in the car and buckled up as Lori drove them from their house and began their trip to the city. "Can't wait till we get there, huh?" Lincoln asked.
"You bet, Lincoln. I'll hang out with my Bobby Boo-boo Bear, we'll see the sites and then after that, Carlota and I are going shopping." Lori replied.
"Oh really, Lori? That sounds like fun."
"The best fun, Lincoln. She told me about some great thrift stores in the city that are literally calling my name." Lori said.
"Boy, Lori. You and Carlota get along great. She's pretty much a mix of you and Leni." Lincoln commented, much to Lori's amusement.
"So, Lincoln. What about you. Do you have any plans for when we get there?" Lori asked. Lincoln hesitated as he hid his watch from her sight and gave his answer.
"Yeah, I've got a few plans of my own." He answered. "I can't wait to hang out with Ronnie Anne and her friends again." Lori grew ecstatic thinking about how Lincoln and Ronnie would make such an adorable couple.
After the 3-hour trip, Lincoln and Lori made it to Great Lakes City and found a parking spot near the bodega, a legal one this time. Exiting the car, and avoiding the gang of vicious cats again, they made it safely into the apartment and received a warm welcome from the Casagrandes.
"Bobby!" Lori squealed. "Babe!" Bobby responded as the happy couple immediately cuddled each other. As for Lincoln and Ronnie Anne, they gave their usual greeting as well. Once everything was ready, Lincoln began by playing video games with Ronnie Anne in her room.
"So Ronnie Anne, are we going to the skatepark again?" Lincoln asked.
"Actually Lincoln, we can't today." Ronnie Anne grimly answered. Lincoln was confused until she explained the reason why. "The thing is, Casey's dad really needed him to work at the sandwich truck today and Sameer is sick with the flu. So, Nikki is the only one who's available and it's not as much fun when it's only the two of us."
"Oh I see. Though, I could still come and hang out with you guys." Lincoln offered.
"Thanks, Lincoln. But I'd rather not. Actually, I'm not really in much of a skating mood today." Ronnie Anne said. "So, up for another game, Lincoln? I'm feeling lucky this time."
"Actually Ronnie Anne, I think I need to use the bathroom right about now." Lincoln answered. "I'll come back to play some more later." He then exited Ronnie Anne's room and hid himself in the apartment's bathroom.
"Okay, time for a little bit of fun." Lincoln said and groaned as he realized what he just did. "Ugh, I've got to stop letting Luan rub off on me. Here I go!" Lincoln activated his shrinking watch and quickly diminished in size until he was about the size of a pea. Once he was small enough, the watch's protective layer coated him, making Lincoln safe from any harm that would befall his minuscule form.
With his reduced size, Lincoln easily fit through the gap between the floor and the bathroom door. Once he got through, the tiny explorer stood in the hallway marveling at how gigantic everything looked from his new perspective. Now, the only thing left to do was decide where to go. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
