Little White Bug.

    by: G-Breaker Author IconMail Icon
Ronnie Anne sat on the steps of her apartment waiting for someone. She waited for another few minutes until a familiar mini-van pulled up in front of her. She smiled as she walked up to the van and saw the person she wanted to see come out of it. It was none other than her best friend from Royal Woods, Lincoln Loud.

"Lincoln!" Ronnie Anne shouted with joy as she ran up to him. "Hey Ronnie Anne!" Lincoln was equally ecstatic to see her as she wasted no time in greeting him with a friendly hug, which the white-haired boy quickly returned. "I'm so glad you're here."

"Me too." Lincoln replied, releasing her from the hug. "Come on and help me with my bags okay?" He asked and Ronnie Anne complied as she helped him get his luggage out of the trunk. "Okay, Mom. I'm ready! Bye" Lincoln waved goodbye to his mother as she sat in Vanzilla.

"Bye sweetie! Have fun! And remember to call whenever you can!" Rita said as she bid her son farewell and drove off in the van, leaving Lincoln on the sidewalk with Ronnie Anne. They then proceeded to bring his suitcase into the apartment and began to talk about everything they had planned.

"I'm so excited, Lincoln. You get to stay here with me and my family for a whole week. We're gonna have so much fun." Ronnie Anne said as she and Lincoln climbed up the stairs to get to her apartment.

"I know Ronnie Anne." Lincoln agreed. "I can't believe my sisters convinced my parents to let me stay here this week."

"Don't worry, Lincoln. You'll be glad they did." The Latina replied. "We're gonna hang out with my friends, eat my Abuela's delicious tamales, and you can explore the city with me again. I have so much to show you."

"I can't wait. And you know, I heard some really great things about your neighbors too, Ronnie Anne. Any chance we can hang out with them too?" Lincoln asked.

"Totally." She answered, much to Lincoln's joy. "You remember my friend, Sid, right?" Lincoln nodded yes. "Great. She'd love to hang with you. And her little sister, Adelaide, has been dying to meet you as well. Plus, you're going to love Mrs. Kernicky. She's great too."

"Awesome. Day one of Casagrande week starts now!" Lincoln exclaimed, and Ronnie Anne chuckled at his geekiness. As they opened the door that lead to her apartment room 2A, Lincoln was surprised as he was suddenly jumped by their dog and given slobbery licks of love. Ronnie Anne smiled amusingly at the sight before her.

Lincoln laughed as Lalo licked his cheeks and tickled the boy to no end. "Okay Lalo, okay. I'm happy to see you to boy. Come here!" Lincoln hugged Lalo as the family dog snuggled close to him too.

"Okay boys, that's enough." Ronalda went to break them apart as they went into the apartment. "SURPRISE! Welcome Lincoln!" Ronnie Anne's family gave Lincoln a nice greeting and welcomed him in with open arms.

"We're so happy to have you for a whole week, Lincoln." CJ said. "It's going to be fun."

"I know, CJ. I'm already excited. When can we get started?" Lincoln asked.

"After you settle in, Lincoln." Rosa answered. "You'll be sleeping with Carl and CJ. So go unload your things and the fun can begin."

"Thanks for having me, Mrs. Casagrande. I really appreciate this." Lincoln said, causing Rosa to be adored by his kindness. "Oh Lincoln. Think nothing of it. You should know by now that you are always welcome in our home. You are like a part of our familia too." Rosa said and gave Lincoln a loving hug, which the boy immediately returned.

After getting himself settled in, Lincoln began his week of fun by playing pirates with CJ and then playing with action figures with Carl. They both had a great time with him. Then he went to hang out with Ronnie Anne at the skate park.

"Ready Lincoln?" Ronnie Anne asked. "You know it. Hey, here come your friends." Lincoln saw Ronnie Anne's friends Casey, Nicky, and Sameer walking up to them, so they went to say hi.

"Hey Ronnie Anne." Casey greeted. "And hey guys, it's Loud!"

"Sup Loud!" Sameer said, fist bumping Lincoln. "Sup! Great to see you guys again. How ya been?"

"Great. We were wondering when we'd hang out with you again." Nicky said. "So, ready for the skatepark?"

"You bet." Lincoln said. They all went to the skatepark where everyone had fun. Lincoln seemed to be enjoying himself as he impressed everyone else with his ever-growing skating skills.

Ronnie Anne watched as Lincoln got along well with them and once they got home, Lincoln and Ronnie Anne began hanging out with some of the other tenants in the apartment and really getting to know everyone.

First, he played ping-pong with Mrs. Kernicky, followed by video games with Cory, and after that, he went to say hello to Miranda and Georgia. However, when Lincoln met them, he didn't expect what happened next.

"Oh my gosh! You are such a cutie!" Miranda exclaimed as she immediately hugged Lincoln in her arms. Lincoln didn't mind too much as she cuddled him and nuzzled him against her cheek. "What an adorable little man you are, Lincoln!"

"T-Thanks, Miranda." Lincoln stuttered with a blush. "Now I kind of have to go." But Miranda wasn't ready to let him leave just yet. "Not yet cutie. You're as adorable as a little doll. Isn't he totally precious, Georgia?"

"I'll say. Look at his white hair." Georgia said, ruffling Lincoln's hair. Lincoln blushed even redder and Ronnie Anne laughed at how they were treating him like a stuffed animal.

"Okay you two, that's enough." Ronnie Anne said as she freed Lincoln from them. "They're right, Lame-o. You are pretty cute." She chuckled as did Lincoln. After meeting them, Lincoln became acquainted with some of the other tenants in the bodega as well. He met up with Sid and her family where Adelaide really took a liking to him. Next, he went to hang out with Margarita and saw how great she is as a stylist. Lastly, he got to meet the Flores family in their apartment, where Alexis entertained him with his tuba playing, and where Mrs. Flores gave Lincoln the same affection that he got from his own mother.

That night, following dinner, Lincoln recalled the fun he had with everyone in Ronnie Anne's new home. "Your neighbors are great, Ronnie Anne. I can't wait to hang out with them again." Lincoln said.

"They sure are great, Lincoln." Ronnie Anne agreed. "I'm glad you got to make friends with all of them. You certainly did a lot better than Vito did, that's for sure." They both laughed at her comment.

"Well, time for bed. I can't wait to see what we do tomorrow." She said. "Good night, Lincoln."

"Good night, Ronnie Anne." As they bid each other farewell for the night, Lincoln went to sleep in his sleeping bag in Carl and CJ's room and had a great night sleep with them. The two of them were really starting to consider their new, temporary roommate like another brother that they always wanted.

The next day, after Lincoln woke up and had breakfast with everyone, he was getting pumped for what he would do next. "Ready for another day at the skate park, Lincoln?" Ronnie Anne asked.

"Absolutely." Lincoln answered enthusiastically. Ronnie Anne and Lincoln were about to leave with their boards, until the young Santiago realized something. "Wait, I forgot my phone in my room. Mom always told me never to leave the apartment without it."

"I'll get it for you, Ronnie Anne." Lincoln said as he ran back to her bedroom. Once he got in there, Lincoln looked everywhere for her phone. "Where is it? Hmm." He couldn't find it on her bed or her desk, so he looked for it somewhere on the floor. Lincoln first looked under her bed and saw no sign of it, next he looked under the desk and thought he saw something. "There it is." He said as he went to grab it.

But before he could bring the phone to Ronnie Anne, Lincoln noticed another light emanating from behind the mini-fridge. "What's that?" Lincoln saw that it was a very strange-looking, glowing, green light that looked like it was pulsing. As he looked behind the fridge, Lincoln found what seemed to be making the weird light. It was a small, bright-blue rock that showed a mysterious glow. He didn't know what it was, but Lincoln seemed drawn to it somehow.

He reached his hand behind the mini-fridge and grabbed the rock. Strangely enough, once he touched it, the glow from it seemed to fade and Lincoln felt a different sensation coming from the stone as he came in contact with it. "What kind of rock is this?" He asked. But then, Lincoln felt the sensation overcome him again. It was as if the rock infected him with a virus that caused him to instantly shrink in size.

Lincoln was greatly surprised as he suddenly diminished in size. The shock of it caused him to drop the rock along with Ronnie Anne's phone onto the floor. Once Lincoln dropped the rock, he instantly felt his sudden shrinking come to an abrupt end.

"What the? I shrunk!" He shouted with his hands on his head. Lincoln saw the blue rock was thrown into the corner of the room when he dropped it. "That rock did this to me." Lincoln was right as the glowing stone truly was the cause of it and reduced him to only 3 inches tall. Once he ran to it, Lincoln thought it could reverse the effects if he touched it again, unfortunately, as soon as he did, the rock shrunk him even further to half an inch tall.

"Oh come on!" Lincoln shouted. "Now what am I going to do?" Before Lincoln could think of anything, he heard a large booming noise coming into the room and watched as the door opened. To his shock, Ronnie Anne came in through it wondering what was taking him so long.

"Hey Lincoln, did you find my-" Ronnie Anne stopped once she saw no sign of Lincoln anywhere in her room. "Lincoln?" She looked around and noticed her phone on the floor. "Oh, there's my phone." Ronnie Anne went to pick her phone up, so Lincoln ran towards her to get her attention.
