Apparently, Jack's diminutive stature wasn't a particularly attracting thing for the girls, as, shortly after Jack was dropped off, they left. Jack was somewhat relieved, considering he thought a party meant there would be crazy people going about, but also somewhat disappointed. Perhaps if the girls stayed around a little longer, he could have gotten help from one of them using his so-called "charm". But that didn't matter now. Jack was alone on the coffee table as people filtered in and out of the living room, searching for their final destination. Without anyone looking out for him, Jack considered this to be the best possible chance to make his escape and grow back to normal.

Jack quickly descended one of the table legs and remained at the base of the leg for a moment, taking in his surroundings and analyzing what pathway would be best to exit the house. He noticed that there was a door not far away from him, presumably the entrance to the house, but there was a group of girls there, with Trish in the middle of them. Jack shuddered. He really wasn't interested in getting back with her again, but maybe the risk was worth it. About the same distance away from Jack, but in the opposite direction, was the main hallway of the house, connecting most of the rooms together. There, maybe, Jack could find a different route out of the house, but there was bound to be a swarm of people somewhere around the halls. Without many choices, Jack just went with the latter option, thinking that the risk of getting caught by Trish again was too great.

He made his dash for the main hallway and made it there without issue. Jack paused for a moment, looking in either direction of the hallway, then went left. There wasn't as much noise coming from that direction, so it must have been the less populated area. Along the way to this area, a few people walked by Jack, not necessarily disturbing him as he was hugging the wall. Once at the end of the hallway, there were to entryways, one again to the left and the other to the right. To the left, Jack saw something of a lounge, with multiple couches, a television, and a pool table in the corner. This room wasn't excessively crowded with people. but there were a solid amount. Opposite this room was another living room, with a similar get-up to the main living room. "Damn," Jack thought, "these parents must have pretty deep pockets".

He continued to scan the rooms, looking for a door to the outside. Jack sighed when he came to the conclusion that the only viable option to escape, other than the front door, was in the lounge room which had quite a few more patrons than the secondary living room. Making sure there wasn't anyone coming from either behind him or from the room in front of him, Jack entered. He narrowly missed a few people dancing nearby, barely escaping the soles of their feet. But Jack's evasive techniques seemed to be working and he was making decent progress towards the door. Just when he was about three quarters of the way to the door, an obstacle gets in Jack's way.

What is it?
