What are they building?

All the girls had, for the most part, stopped caring about Jack after the teacher told them he wasn’t free food, they lost interest; however one group couldn’t resist taking sideways glances at him and giggling maniacally.

There looked about 4 of them in total and they huddled around what they were doing so he couldn’t see. The teacher hasn’t noticed yet and it’s already been 15 minutes into the lesson, and whatever they were working on.
