The demon type bird drops me in the back of some cave. My stomach is bleeding and scratches cover my arms. My voice is horace from screaming. I have burn holes in my jeans adding more holes to what was already there and my blonde hair is matted. The young man shoved me behind him into the broom closet as soon as shots rang out. Those two men had saved me.
A low growl pulls me back to the present. I yank my legs up and cover my head, as the thing steps closer.
"You name," It says, its voice low.
"Rayne," I says, trembling. It catches my hair and pulls my head back looking into my blue eyes. Its eyes are green and menacing.
"Rayne," it says rolling my name over. "Rayne, you are mine." It says, dropping my hair. Another walks over and shoves him aside. The one who had claimed me drops to its knees at the new winged creatures feet.
"She is the masters." He says dropping to a knee in front of me. I flinch away as he reaches for me.
"Don't be afraid," he coos, catching my hands. His dark gray eyes lock mine and I can't look away as terror fills my whole body. He moves closer as my body trembles and I can't pull my eyes from his. I start to panic and he blinks breaking his hold on me. I scramble away from him as fast as I can.
"I'm Deck," he says. Before he walks out and jumps off the cliff. I cover my mouth trying to fight the sickness and sobs trying to break loose.
Deck brushes my long blond bangs off my face waking me. I scream and scramble back out of reach. He smiles patiently and slowly reaches out to me like I were a terrified pup. I kick his hand away loosing my only shoe which I hadn't lost in the fire.
"Now, now none of that," he tsks. He cocks his head staring at me but listening to something in the distance and stands, taking off out of the cave. I won't ever be caught asleep like that again I promise myself. The first creature licks its lips and slinks closer. I throw the closest rock I can find at it and it stops. It watches me as my eyelids grow heavier. I wake to it hovering over me its eyes raking over my body searching for something. I screech as it claws the glittery bangle bracelets from my wrist. Deck drops into the cave with the man whom called himself Simon.
"Hello gorgeous, I tend to like blondes," the man says.
