Leon walked on the road, and his starter walked behind him humming happily.
"You seem to be in a good mood, Luca," said Leon as he walked. He hoped to come across a Pokemon to add to his team, but he was fine with arriving at the next town without battling.
"Rio," replied Luca with a nod before she got into a fighting stance, and did some punches and kicks.
Leon chuckled at Luca's eager attitude, and he could help himself but knelt down to pat the little jackal on the head. It was quite a shock when he found out that Luca's gender, she had both male and female organs that were fully functional.
Nurse Joy informed that while rare this happened sometimes, and such Pokemon live their lives without any problem. In most cases, herm Pokemon were treated as female, unless they expressed the desire for the opposite. Also, according to Nurse Joy, they tended to get pretty wild when it came to mating, but that was a problem for the future.
Leon just smiled at Luca, and he was about to get up, but Luca grabbed his hand before he could remove it.
"What's up with you today? Why so clingy?" asked Leon with a smile, as he brushed his hand down Luca's head, and started to scratch under her chin.
"Rio," sighed Luca, quite happy at the attention she was getting from her trainer. She whined when she felt him pull his hand back, but was pleasantly surprised when he picked her up, and placed her on his shoulder. She hugged his head, and exclaimed excitedly, "Riolu!"
"Yeah yeah, you're not the one that will be doing the walking part," said Leon as he continued to walk down the road, then he chuckled at the annoyed huff.
Still, the Pokemon and human enjoyed the comfortable silence as they traveled.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
