Drake, Jonathan, David, Samson, and Link are a road construction crew. They've worked on many highways through the years. Their work takes them across the country to help build the new highways. Always being on the move and the five of them being the only constant has brought them together. Blue collar to a T, and a bit gruff around the edges, the boys will be boys. They love competitions between each other and love to push and annoy each other. While they love each other like brothers, they also fight like cats and dogs, but always make up at the end.
Drake - 6'2" and 230 pound foreman of the group. He's 40 years old and has been working construction since he ran away from home at the age of 17. He's the most mature of the group and considers the other guys the only real family he has ever had.
Jonathan - 6' and 190 pound multi talented with machines man. You got a machine this guy can use it. Steamrollers, dump trucks, jack hammers, trucks and more. He's 32 and is also the biggest football fan out there.
David - 5'10" and 260 pound planner and designer. 36 year old David knows his way around the blue prints and can create and execute any plan the team is given. David is currently the heaviest and is often teased about his belly by the other team mates.
Samson - 6'6" and 240 pound beast of the team. Samson is the muscle of the group. He has the carpenter skills and does wonders with his hands. While he can get really worked out and intimidating, he's usually quite quiet and reserved.
Link - 5'9" and 160 pounds. Link is the youngest of the boys at 26 and is the slimmest. Link is his nickname after the other guys say he looks like the elf boy from The Legend of Zelda and it stuck. Link is in awe of the men in the group and secretly pines for Samson and 'Daddy' Drake. Link is a jack of all trades and is the newest edition to the team, this job being the second time he's worked with the others.
For this job the team finds themselves reunited in small town middle America helping create a new highway through the prairies. Flat land means that there's very little challenge for the boys, and the small town they're based out of is a single traffic light town and doesn't have much going for it... except for some pretty decent food at some cheap prices.
