"I think I'll do the Oath of Death path," you said. "Having undead servants sounds interesting."
"Make sure to treat them well," the elf said. "They might have to obey your orders, but they might decide to misinterpret them and do exactly what you say."
"Meaning?" you asked.
"They follow the order exactly as stated, but not as you intended," said the elf. "Say you ask them to clean the spot off of your shirt, they will clean it, but if you are a jerk about it, they'll scrub a hole right through said shirt."
"Oh, I see," you said. "I have to be nice to them."
"That would be a good idea," the elf said. "By the way, if you decide that this path isn't for you, let me know within three months, so that we can change your subclass, class in general, or, if you want a real challenge, if you wish to multi-class."
"Multi-class?" you ask.
"It has a decent following," said the elf. "Sometimes a warrior wishes to learn the ways of a rogue or a more formal system of magic, or vice-versa or whatever."
"I see," you said.
"Well, your training starts tomorrow," the elf said. "Let's locate you a room, and get the rest of your things taken care of."
