Retiring to her own home, Gold was not going to wait for Silver to make up his mind - the time for decisive action was now, before he had any second thoughts or tried to stop her. Was asking him just an excuse to tell herself she 'did everything she could'? Perhaps, the Tenrec completely skipped past waiting for Silver's decision!
The irony of being so impatient to travel back in time was not lost on Gold, who considered her situation aloud as she locked her front door.
"All the time in the world, and yet here I am hurrying to go back," she chuckled nervously, completed her preparations, clutching a 'borrowed' Time Stone tightly as though it were a stress ball. Not that she'd know what one is, they didn't exist anymore, this far into the future.
Satchel slung over her shoulder, she opened it up to double-check she'd packed everything. Spare sari, the mask, rings.. the essentials.
"Chronos control... Chronos control.." mumbled the Tenrec as she attempted to focus on the timeline she sought to travel to. She only had a vague idea of what Light Mobius was like from Silver's description of it to her, a fractured timeline formerly ruled by a tyrant, Time Stone glowing a dull blue as it attuned to her thoughts, focusing them into action.
Time Stones, mysterious objects able to traverse time and space, transporting their controllers to precise times and places so long as they knew when and where they wanted to be. Unfortunately for Gold, without knowing specifically what point in time she wanted to travel to, the Time Stone could only do so much.
Light Mobius (the 30 years later universe) was a unique timeline, amongst the multitude of lost futures and alternate timelines, chiefly because it was so... broken. It never truly recovered from the original fracture in space-time rendered by Eggman's final scheme, despite Sonic's best attempts to repair it and the altered timeline it created. Unbeknownst to Gold, because she was so vague on where she wanted to go, the Time Stone was going to send her to some of the most volatile disruptions in Light Mobius' history!
The initial rupture and the birth of an altered future, one ruled by the machiavellian tyrant King Shadow and his right-hand Lien-Da was by far the most powerful of the tears that dragged Gold and her Time Stone towards it, but there were several others as well.
Silver's original discovery of this bizarre alternate universe, five years after Shadow's deposition and before he met Gold, was quite the distortion of the already-thin fabric that made up Light Mobius' reality. Coupled with the fact he himself had used Chronos Control to get there, the hapless Tenrec would be tugged towards this time-space anomaly!
It all happened so quickly, Gold didn't have time to process what happened, being a first-timer to using Time Stones, as the one she held suddenly began to glow intensely, lighting up the room with an eerie blue light.
"Ch-chronos control!" she exclaimed, before vanishing in an instant, just like that, the Time Stone relocating her to Light Mobius, but not as she'd intended..
