Robbie watched Robert play with his ball as he ate his second serving of the pot pie. He knew he should stop eating, but the pie was just to good, he wasn't full yet, and he wasn't sure he even cared. These past few weeks off had been glorious and it's not like he needed the money, even if Italia also quit, they'd still be set for life or at least decades.
While trying to decide, he scraped a third serving of the pot pie onto the plate. He could feel how full he was now and his stomach was protesting but only slightly. Not enough to convince him not to continue eating. Just looking down, he imagined each bite stretching his stomach just a little more. The thought intrigued him for some reason.
But he fought to stop.
He knew Italia would never tolerate him getting fat. Divorce would likely be in his future if he kept this up. It would kill him if he couldn't have Robert in his life every day. Maybe he could convince her to let him eat more and gain some weight if he did continue at the gym. Go for a power lifter build. She may not have tolerated fat guys but she never seemed to mind guys with muscles, even if they were under a layer of flab. That was a possibility. Or maybe she didn't mind fat guys as much as he thought? Well, the best option would be to start working out again while not restricting his diet anymore while she was still gone so the change would be a surprise to her but would show his commitment.
His fork scraped against his plate, shocking him out of his thoughts. He hadn't even noticed he had started eating again. It would probably be best if he saved the rest for later.
Groaning, he pushed himself out of the chair and grabbed the empty pot pit pan. Wait, empty?
That's why his stomach hurt so badly! Without meaning to, he'd eaten the entire thing! In three servings! When there was six servings total!
Carefully, he waddled over to the dish washer to put the dirty dishes in but he couldn't bend over without risking throwing everything up and it wouldn't be as good the second time around. Instead, he placed the dishes on the counter and made his way out to the living room.
Before lowering himself down onto the couch, he checked on Robert who had fallen asleep himself on his blanket next to the recliner. Lowering himself down, he was out himself the moment his head hit the throw pillows.
