This choice: The Rowlet is friendly and gentle • Go Back...Chapter #5Flying with Rowlet by: irven The big round owl is staring at you, cocking its head back and forth. It’s clearly very curious about the tiny human it just rescued from the bubble, but it also seems calm and quiet, like it’s waiting for you to introduce yourself. It doesn’t seem like it’s about to eat you or throw you off the branch, so you decide to try talking to it.
“Um, hello Rowlet,” you say. “Thanks for getting me out of that bubble. I got shrunk by this Pokemon called Mew, and I was trying to get back to my apartment and my Indeedee. But that girl’s Popplio was blowing bubbles, and I accidentally got stuck in one. So, now that I’m out, could you bring me back to my apartment? I’ll tell you how to get over there.”
Rowlet responds by hooting and nodding. You got lucky—this wild Pokemon is friendly and willing to help a tiny human in need! That’s great news, and you feel relieved. Now you just need to give Rowlet directions to the apartment. You look around, trying to remember what direction you came from, but you can’t tell.
“Sorry, I’m not sure where my apartment is,” you say. “But it must be close. I bet we could see it from the air. So, do you think you could pick me up again and carry me higher?” You feel nervous about asking that, since being grabbed and carried around by a giant Pokemon is frightening, but you trust Rowlet.
The bird hoots again and steps forward, holding out one of its feet and waiting for you to approach. You walk closer and allow its talons to wrap around you. It then spreads its wings and flies up into the air, clutching you tightly in its grip. You feel a bit sick as you’re carried up so quickly, and you try to resist squirming, since you don’t want to be dropped.
Rowlet flies high above the forest, and begins going around in big circles so you can see the ground below. It’s scary to be held so high up, and you really hope Rowlet doesn’t drop you from this height. You try not to think about that, and you just concentrate on finding your apartment. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
