Blaze stepped up to the podium, surprised to find a strange artifact on the podium. It was large and shaped like a "c" tipped on it's side. It shone like gold, with a series of blue lines wrapping around it that almost looked like circuitry. Curious, Blaze crept closer, trying to get a better look at it...
Only to freeze as she felt the ground beneath her dip slightly, making a loud thunking sound. A Pressure plate. She shouldn't have let her guard down. But at this point it was too late, and before Blaze could react the artifact launched towards Blaze, clamping around her neck like a shackle. The blue lines began to glow, and an intense heat began to radiate from the device. Blaze clawed at it, but despite looking as though it was made of soft gold, it was actually much stronger than that, the princess' claws not even managing to scratch it.
In an instant, a blinding flash of white overtook the room, and then it was gone, leaving an empty space where the cat once stood.
When she awoke, she would find herself in a new world, where...
