"Let me go!!!" Amy cried, as Metal Sonic carried her tied up body into a metal room. Ignoring her, Metal shoved her into a chair before turning toward it's master. From the shadows stepped Doctor Eggman, smiling.
"Well, Metal Sonic?" He grinned, "You heard the lady."
Metal slashed the ropes binding Amy's arms. Amy blinked in surprise, rubbing her wrists.
"Apologies, Metal Sonic is a perfect killing machine, but his social skills are... lacking." Eggman shrugged, "I assure you, I simply wanted him to pass along an invitation! He must have misunderstood..."
"An invitation...?" Amy asked, narrowing her eyes.
"Yes! A simple invitation!" Eggman smiled, "You see, I've grown terribly bored of you and Sonic's little cat-and-mouse games. Have you ever seen The Cubicle?"
"The... Sitcom...?" Amy asked,
"Yes! The whole show, everyone KNOWS that Jen and Pan are going to get together, but episode after episode just drags on with this will-they-wont-they GARBAGE!" Eggman yelled, throwing his arms up dramatically, "And every time I see you two it reminds me of waiting, week after week, for those two to just kiss already and just wouldn't happen! I've had enough of it!"
"I am NOT letting you play matchmaker with me and Sonic!" Amy cried
"Oh ho ho, of course not" He chuckled, "I think you two were made for each other! You just need a way to make him stop and notice you, am I correct?"
Amy blinked. Perhaps he knew more about what he was talking about then she thought. Eggman pulled a vial of pink liquid out of his coat pocket, offering it to the hedgehog girl.
"You are, of course, free to leave," He started, "but since you're here, a parting gift!"
Amy took it, turning the vial in her hand, scrutinizing it's contents.
"With this, you're guaranteed to catch his eyes! And I'm guaranteed a lot less headache."
"I'm not going to drink some random vial from you!"
"Then have the fox boy look at it, if you don't believe me." Eggman sighed, "But if you don't drink it, do me a favor and keep the romance out of our battles? I don't think I can take another wistful gaze from either of you two."
Amy left, still mulling over what had just happened. There was no way she could trust this... right? But if Eggman wanted to hurt her he could have done so. She could have Tails look at it, but what if her tells Sonic???
