The Judge grins. "Do you have anything else to say before I make my judgement?"
You are devastated at how easily your carefully crated argument was dismissed but, unless you come up with something better, you know that Mandy's hungry belly awaits you. Thinking quickly, you reply:
"I do, your honour." You collect your thoughts and try a different tack. "But is it not the case that the International Bill of Human Rights also recognises the right of every person to life, liberty and security? It is my contention that being eaten by Miss Martinez would be in contravention of this right."
The Judge sighs. "You are not the first defendant to have tried to argue this point. Let me make it clear to you that the Vore Court does, of course, recognise the International Bill of Human Rights but that this Bill simply does not apply to food. That, sir, is why the sole purpose of the Vore Court is to determine if you are entitled to be recognised legally as a person or as food. Your argument, quite frankly, is lazy and boring. It also has no legal credibility. You've made this VERY easy for me today. I am satisfied that you offer no meanigful defence whereas the claimant has made an excellent case for your reclassification. I hereby rule that you, sir, are no longer entitled to be considered a person. It is my ruling that you are food and, moreover, that you belong, as of this moment, to Miss Mandy Martinez. You will now be taken from this courtroom, shrunk and handed over to Miss Martinez to do with as she will. Case CLOSED!"
Mandy Martinez grins and licks her lips. "Thank you, your honour."
