"Hmm, I could go for something to eat, do you want go grab lunch with me?" Lucy asked.
Kat looked thrilled to have been invited. "That would be awesome," she said. "Let me just finish off my work here and I'll be right with you."
Lucy nodded and looked up at the clock. It was pretty much lunch time already, but Kat seemed pretty studious and didn't seem to want to leave early. She returned to her desk and shuffled some papers around, not really wanting to start any proper work until she had taken a break. As she sat back in her chair, her hand reached for what was left of her candy. Kat was still working when she looked over, so she shrugged and scooped the remains of the bowl into her mouth, her cheeks bulging with what seemed to be gummy worms.
"You ready to go?"
Lucy hadn't heard Kat approach over the sound of her own ardent chewing, but she found herself looking up at her chubby co-worker, who was standing over her desk, her circular tummy brushing the edge of the workstation. Lucy nodded, her cheeks bulging. "Mmm hmm," she said, not quite ready to swallow.
Lucy got up from her desk, the slight bulge of her stomach still visible from earlier, and began to walk with Kat towards the cafeteria. It was, remarkably, right next door to their office, so the journey was a short one. Whatever they were cooking smelled delicious, and as Lucy followed Kat inside, she could see they were serving Burgers today, and they were gigantic.
"Woah, that can't be all for one person, right?" Lucy asked quietly.
Kat seemed puzzled by the question. "Well...of course it is, did you think they were going to cut that burger in half?"
"It's bigger than my plates at home!" Lucy protested, gesturing to the burgers sitting behind the lunch trays.
There was a round faced, smiling lunch lady serving them, who didn't really look much older than Lucy herself. In front of her, enormous, cheese filled burgers sat on display, ready to be scooped up by the workers, and beside them, sat what appeared to be very sweet looking cakes of all shapes and sizes. Lucy could hardly believe what she was seeing. This was way, way over the top for a workplace lunch.
Nevertheless, she followed Kat's example and grabbed a tray. The lunch girl placed the huge, greasy cheeseburger on top of it, and Lucy, against her better judgement, followed that up by picking a large piece of cake with pink frosting. There was no way she was going to be able to eat all this...
She and Kat crossed to an empty table and sat opposite one another. Kat eagerly bit down into her burger, a soft moan escaping her lips as cheese oozed from the sides and fell onto her plate. Lucy had to admit, it looked good. She drew the burger to her mouth, her jaw barely stretching around the bun, then took a bite.
"Mmm...mmmmf..." Lucy moaned aloud, unable to stop herself. "Man that's a good burger!"
"Told you," Kat said. "The food here is so tasty. Almost as good as the candy...hehe..."
Lucy went in for another bite...
