Tom woke up, bleary-eyed and exhausted. Whatever that dream was, it seemed to have made the rest of his sleep an exercise in futility. He glanced over at his clock. 7 AM. With a groan, Tom sat up, got out of bed, and began to go about his day.
As he left his apartment, the thought of that dream stayed in his head. He really wasn't the "get talked to by a coconut who tells you you have magic powers" kind of guy. Maybe a "naked in class and taking an exam you haven't studied" for kinda guy, sure, but that last night was...weird.
He walked over to the elevator and considered it. He looked over his shoulder to see that nobody else was standing around him. "The elevator is going to reach this floor when I finish talking," he began, "and a sexy woman is going to get off."
The elevator dinged as soon as Tom closed his mouth. The doors opened to reveal the woman from last night. She was wearing tight yoga pants that accentuated her huge ass, and a tank top that would have showed off her cleavage if she had any. Her face switched from some unreadable expression to one of conspicuously-veiled embarrassment. One of her hands was gripping the handrail in the elevator, and the other shot up away from her pants to her mouth.
"Oh, I'm so sorr--I mean, um. Hi again!" she said, stepping off the elevator.
"Hello," said Tom. "We met yesterday. I'm Tom." He offered a hand to her. She shook it with some trepidation.
"Jojo," she replied. Her skin shone with sweat. "Sorry if I um. Seem flustered. The elevator got stuck, and so I decided to, uh..." she trailed off. "Well, I couldn't get a signal, so I was kind of panicking?"
It didn't take magic powers to see how obvious her lie was. The sexy woman in the elevator clearly had gotten off in more ways than one. Tom considered pressing the issue and seeing if he could make Jojo confess, but thought better of it. Abusing his power to compel people to talk against their will felt like a dick move.
"Well," he said, smiling, "At least you got off in the end." Jojo recoiled slightly before stifling her mortified expression. "I have class, though, so I suppose I should get going." He stepped on the elevator, pressed the 1st floor button, and waved goodbye. "See you later, Jojo."
Tom closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "This elevator isn't going to make any stops until it reaches the ground floor." He mulled over his options; may as well take these powers for a test run. "Also..."
