This choice: had to hide you due to hearing Amicus's voice. • Go Back... You sat in the palm of one of Cassius's hands as he walked back into the palace as you saw his red eyes look down at you and a soft smile forms on his face for a moment. And upon seeing this you start to think that maybe this won't be so bad since the white wolf did seem to understand your situation....to an extend due to his bone illness.
However, right when he was about to turn the corne both you and Cassius jumped a bit into the air when you heard Amcius's voice when he shouted, "CASSIUS!"
This prompted the white wolf to look down you for a moment before he covered you up with both of his hands and held them up against his back. You then fthough you heard the wolf swallow a lump i nhis throat obviously trying to calm himself down beofre his older brother stormed up to him. Though he did start to panic a little when he saw the muscle gutted wolf walk up to him.
However, he did his best to remain calm as he asked, "Yes Amicus? What is the matter?"
Sadly after you heard had heard Cassius uttered these words you heard a deep growl from Amicus as he shot back with, "Don't lie to me Cassius! Marco isn't in my bedroom. And since Alex isn't here I had a feeling you had him do something for you again didn't you?!"
"I did no such thing!" The white wolf snapped back, as he let out his own growl of annoyance. But meantally he added, "Besides even if I wanted to have him do stuff me, that's pretty much impossible with the human in his current state..." Though when he saw his older brother give him a confused look with a raised eyebrow he continued, "Erm, what I mean to say is that I haven't seen him. Perhaps his just in the gardens or something."
"Perhaps...." Amicus let out, as he crossed his arms over his large pecs.
Upon seeing this Cassius couldn't help but get a bit nervous as he swlalowed a lump in his throat and attempted to get back to his room when he replied, "Well...anyway good luck trying to find him Amicus. Now if you'll excuse me I need to get back to my room."
"Not so fast Cassius!" Amicus quickly called out, which prompted the younger brother to stop from turning around. You then found yourself getting nervous just as Cassius had become when the black and gray wolf kept going, "By the way Cassius, why do you have your hands closed like that?"
"Erm no reason.... Though it's none of your business anyway." Cassius quickly replied, with a cearly worried lok on his face.
Upon doing this you both heard Amicus let out another growl before he warned, "Cassius, whatever you're trying ot hide from me won't work. I'll find out what it is at some point. So you'd be better off just showing me what it is that's in your hands right now."
You then found yourself letting out a slight gasp when you swa and felt Cassius move his two hands from his back and to the his chest as he let out, "....Very well Amicus. But when I show you what's in my hands I hope you'll give me a chance to explain."
And so before you knew it the darkness that was around you was soon gone and replaced by light and once your eyes had adjusted you saw both wolves loking down at you. Cassius had a sad expression on his face. Amicus on the other hand had a very shocked look on his face as you waved up to him in greeting nervously.
Though you soon felt Cassius bring you protectively closer to his chest when he heard his older brother let out another growl as he simply said, "Alright, explain to me what the heck is going on right now, Cassius."
Once you had registered what Amicus wanted to hear form his brother you quickly stood up onto your feet and told him, "Amicus don't get mad at Cassius. He didn't do anything wrong. If anything you should thank him since he helped me after I got bit by a bug and I somehow found myself shrinking down to this size. Because if he hadn't of noticed me and then picked me I'd still be outside in the gardens."
After you had told the muscle gutted wolf this you saw him nod his head and then extend one of his larger furry hands until it was in front of his younger brother's hand as he ordered, "Well then I suppose I must thank you for saving my pet Cassius. But Marco is my respectable so hand him over to me....right...now."
"N-No, I won't Amicus." Cassius responded back with, while you saw him close his fingers around you.
"Excuse me?" Amicus asked, now becoming angry again.
to this you saw looked up at the white wolf who in turn looked down at you before he shook his head and tried to look very determined when he replied, "I said that you no Amicus." And yet again you both heard Amicus growl again to which the white wolf to quickly continued with, "Now Amicus please understand that has nothing against you. I only feel that Marco should stay with me since well...he and I are in the same boat now in a manner of speaking. And with how strong you are, you might accidentally hurt the human without intending to do so. And besides I was planning on having Alex become your pet in Marco's place."
"I see. So then you know about Marco then I'd assume?" Amicus asked, still with a unpleased expression his face.
"Yes, I do. But I promise that I won't speak a word about where his from and what he really is with anyone." Cassius said, now a confident expression on his face.
Though this did waver a bit when Amicus did not say a word at all. Though within a few moments you saw the massive wolf let out a heavy sigh while he told his younger brother, "Very well, Cassius. I'll go along with this idea of yours for now. But if anything hapens to Marco then I'll make sure that you'll pay for it."
"Again I promise nothing bad will happen to him. I just hope there is some way to return him back to his normal height." Cassius confessed, to which Amicus nodded his head in agreement.

The door to Cassius's bedroom slid open which prompted you to let out a sigh of relief as you were thankful that the moment between Amcius and Cassius had gone at the very least okay despite being a very tense encounter. In fact you couldn't help but smile a little bit knowing that both of the wolves were going to try to find someone who help you get back to normal. Well when either one wasn't busy rying to out do the other in becoming Emperor.
You were then gently set down onto Cassius's dresser as he loke down at you and also sigh with relif and said, "Well it seems that went alright if I do say myself."
"Yes it did." You agreed, followed by a nod of your head.
Sadly right when Cassius was about to say something else to you, he stopped from doing so when he heard his door sliding open. So he quickly stood in front of you with now his back in front of you. This did make you a blush a little as you did have to admit that it was quite fit despite him having his bone illness.
However, you were brought ouf o your gazing when you heard Alex's voice as he said, "I'm back Casius."
"I can see that Alex." Cassius replied, as he did his best to keep a stern expression on his face.
"Why are you calling me by my name, Cas? Why are you calling me one of those pet names you gave me?" The anthro cat asked, as you saw him get up tot he white wolf.
Once he had done this you couldn't help but let out a gasp when you saw him rub himself up against the white wolf which caused the middle of his back hit you thus causing you to fall onto your backside on the dresser. You then looked up when you saw one of Cassius' ears twitch and you him lok down at you with concern from the corner of one of his eyes.
You then saw him gently push Alex off of him before he told him, "Alex, that's quite enough."
Sadly when he had done this you saw the cat give him a confused expression as he asked, "Cas, what's wrong?"
".....Well I don't know how to tell you this Alex. But Amicus and I decided to switch pets for a time. So you'll be taking care of Amicus while Marco will be with me." The white wolf explained, while he crossed his arms in front of his chest. he then added on, "So that is why I am re-framing from using any nicknames for you. Since our relationship will only professional from now on."
After he had done told him this though you both heard nothing from the cat at first. However, once a few second had passed you soon saw that.......   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
