"Your son, Shan! He was right there on your stool!" Joanna’s shock broke into uproarious laughter. Shannon quickly jumped back to her feet and craned her neck to look back at you! Fate had caused you to twist so that you were visibly looking out from her cheek in a similar pose as the infamous fairy incident.
Your world spun as she ended up acting like a dog chasing its tail. “Oh, Samuel I’m so sorry!” This twirling had a compound affect of causing Joanna’s laughing uproar to advance into a stage of violent screaming. She slapped the floor hard with each he-haw of laugher. Hearing about the squashing had been one thing. But it looked like her witnessing it for herself was another entirely. You sighed to yourself as your brief moment of normalcy was brought to a crashing end. As per usual. The only saving grace is that from what you could make out of the moving blur no one else seemed to be caring about your embarrassing moment.
Finally, you mother ceased her twirling and looked towards her friend on the floor. The woman was slowly lifting her self up on the stool with a set of painful giggles. A hand clutched her abdomen. “Oh, oh, ow, ow, Shan! You are a riot! OW, ow, ow.” Shannon couldn’t help but giggle herself, “Oh its not that funny Joa.” … …
You didn’t catch the rest of the conversation as a melancholic funk started to take over. Your first big intentional and non-accidental day out in a long while seemed off to such a nice start. But… well this is just your life. Sure, there have always been accidents, but they never really left any lasting damage. Kinda like one of those sitcoms Stacy pulled you in to watch. The status quo always returned in the end. “It always could be worst.” You mumbled to yourself.
“For sure, I could have said nothing at all.~” In your pity party haze, you had not realized the conversation had ended. Joanna’s giant eyes was looking down at you fully. “Uh ho. I think you spooked him a bit, I felt him twitch!” Your mother teased.
