Marcus got to the printer's for 11:30. He had polished off two donuts in his car on the way (he had finally mastered eating while driving in the city). He brought in a huge stack of blank pamphlet paper, carefully not getting maple glaze on them, and walking into a surprisingly busy small office.
"Hey Marcus!" said Phyllis, the kindly woman in charge of recieving. "Hi Phyllis, how are you?" asked Marcus.
"We're doing fine, sweetie. In fact, today was our driver Al's birthday! We've got snacks in the waiting area."
Marcus didn't know Al. He assumed he was a really nice guy, though, when he saw all the snacks! A couple dozen unopened donut boxes, bags of all kinds of chips and snacks, muffins, bagels, cupcakes, and of course, half of a large sheetcake that now read "HAP BIR DAY L". Marcus was really tempted; he had just had a couple unfulfilling donuts, but he knew he couldn't eat too much! Tonight's dinner was a blacktie affair, and the last one of those his suit was awfully tight...
