Every part of his body hurt. He hadn't counted on a free fall from hundreds of feet in the air. Were it not for the padded insole of the runner he doubted he would've survived at all.
He slowly got to his feet and looked about. About as near as he could tell in the gloomy light the sneaker rested upside down. At least that saved him the time figuring out out to get out of there. How long had he been unconscious? He'd figure that out later, but first things first. Jon waked to the wall of the sneaker and relieved himself. one more stain among many he supposed. He didn't like to do that, but he had to relieve himself somewhere. Once that was done, he climbed over the underside of the tongue of the sneaker and crawled out from underneath it. A few moments later and he was crawling out from under the closet door to find the room almost completely dark with the exception of a night light.
Jon heard breathing. From the top of a very large bed lay the Dinosaur. He smiled, and ram to a spot where the sheets touched the floor. Climbing the material was slow, but surprisingly easy. Had this been any other time of the year Jon would not have been able to do this without climbing gear. But in this case, the sheet was a loose weave to allow airflow as it was a warm summer night. When he reached the top, he rested and gazed at the living mountain before him. Charlene slept on her side, her tale prevented her from sleeping on her back. Her side rose up and down slowly but steadily.
The glowing red numbers from the digital readout from an alarm clock told him he had plenty of time. So where should he explore first?
