Byleth dodged the boot of a student as he made his way to a nearby wall, sighing once he felt safe. Clearly, the hall isn’t a safe place for someone his size, and he needed to get out of here. As he pressed himself against the wall, he saw the towering form of a guard heading to the door. Byleth, seeing the guard's destination, rushed forward and leaped onto their boot, holding on for dear life as the guard strode through the dance hall.
He held on for dear life, not wanting to slip off and get stranded in the middle of the hall. He also didn’t to fall beneath the boot he rode upon, knowing it wouldn’t end well for him. Eventually, the guard made it outside, the cold air rushing past him as Byleth jumped from the boot. The dirt softened his fall, and he sighed as he noticed no one near the small patch of grass he landed beside. He wasn’t sure why, but the tiny professor felt the need to keep moving to the old tower. Surely he could find help from anyone who was nearby.

Unbeknownst to Byleth, a woman stood by the tower, waiting for the former mercenary to arrive.
‘Surely he’ll be here soon,’ she thinks to herself. ‘Surely wishing for the one you hold dear would have some effect. It doesn’t just have to be couples, right?’
She sighed quietly as she slumped against the tower. “Maybe if I see him in the hall, I can ask him for a dance.”
As she turned to leave, her eyes noticed a minuscule figure running on top of the stone floor, waving their arms to get her attention. Her eyes widen as she recognized the professor. Byleth didn’t stop running, just happy that ____ seemed to see him since she reached for him.
