Dimitri shut his eyes in horror and shame at his uselessness. He never wanted to feel like this ever again. But there was nothing he could trapped in this chocolate baked prison. His fate was sealed and so was the fate of his friends. They'd be gobbled up and go right to the girls hips and no one would be the wiser.
Right before the girl the girls could dig in however, a knock was heard at their door. Mercedes was the first to get up and see who it was only to find one of the knights awaiting her. "Hello there. Is there something you needed from us?" she gestured inside to the other female members of the Blue Lions.
"No. I merely stopped by to drop off a message for the Blue Lion house." The knight answered before holding out a sealed letter. This caught the attention of the room as they stood up to get a better look at the letter. This brought a feeling of relief to the shrunken members of the Blue Lion house as it seemed their lives would be spared... At least for now. Ashe being the most grateful.
Mercedes gently took the letter before ripping it open to read it's contents. As her eyes scanned it over Annette, Flayn, and Ingrid leaned over her shoulders. "What does it say?" Flayn asked.
"Looks like the professor's called for a meeting in the classroom." Mercedes answered.
"Really?" Ingrid questioned. "Why not just tell us in person?"
"I'm sure the professor had a good reason. Besides it's not uncommon for the other professors here to communicate via messages." said Annette.
"Alright then. Let's go everyone." Mercedes smiled. "Oh and thank your for the message Mr. knight."
"it's Jon, but your welcome." The knight nodded before he and everyone else left the room.
Back on the table the other members of the Blue Lions sighed. Thank goodness for the professor. Even unaware of their situation, she's still providing them with aid. If the girls were truly gone then they needed to be before they got back. "Can any of you hear me?!" Dimitri shouted,
"Yep!"
"Loud and clear!"
"I hear you!"
"Indeed my friend!"
"Alright. Unintentionally the professor has bought us enough time to escape. We need to find a way out these... chocolate prisons!" Dimitri struggled.
"We're trying but these damn cookies won't break!" Felix growled.
"To think I'd be trapped by comfort food." Sylvain complained.
"Less talk and more struggling!" Ashe said franticly.
"These are indeed sturdy prisons." Dedue struggled. "I still wonder who could have caused this."
"As do we my friend. But we'll never find out if we don't escape first." said Dimitri.
After a minute or two the remaining members of the blue lions turned their heads back to the door as the sound of footsteps drew close. Were the girls back already?! If so they were doomed. The group began to struggle more desperately than ever before. Death by an unaware friend was the very last thing they wanted.
When the door finally cracked open all present eyes widened. It wasn't Mercedes, Annette, Flayn, or Ingrid who returned. It was none other than the snow haired girl of the Golden Deer, Lysithea. What was she doing here? Wait a moment, maybe she could be of assistance if they got her attention.
"Noe that there gone, Mercedes cookies are all mine!"
Hearing that made the Blue Lions' hearts sink and their blood run cold. She was going to eat them! The miniscule members rewed their struggles with vigor they never knew they had as the violet eyed girl drew closer. Too bad it was all in vain as in less than a second, she was staring down at them.
"Lysithea! It's us don't eat the cookies!" Ashe screamed.
"Don't do it!" Sylvain agreed.
Their words didn't seem to reach her as she reached down for Ashe's cookie. Her massive tree trunk like fingers clasped around him and hoisted him up high in the air. "Help me! PLEASE!"
"Ashe!" Dimitri cried as the silver haired boy was casually tossed into the giantess' mouth. All the remaining members felt ill when the giant girl began chewing. Ashe was gone. Chewed into paste by Lysithea enormous teeth. They wanted to cry for the loss of their friend but another horrifying thought crossed their minds. They were next.
"No! Dedue!"
Indeed the man that had been the prince's closet friend throughout the years was next. "Forgive me my friend."
Those were his last words as he was embraced by the hot and moist darkness. This time the tears did flow from the prince's eyes. He was gone. Dedue was gone. The other members could only watch the small lump slide down Lysithea's throat as she turned her sights to the rest of them.
As fate would have it, Felix was next on the chopping block. His eyes widened but he said nothing. After what happened to both Ashe and Dedue, he had long since given up. The darkness embraced him as well.
"How? How can this be?" Dimitri cried. What would Rodrigue think of his failure to protect his son.
"Wow these are so good." Lysithea mused. "I better finish up quick though before everyone else gets back. It was Sylvain's turn and all he could do was beg for mercy. Mercy that would never come as no one could hear it. The last thing he saw were the bone white pillars that were Lysithea's teeth.
Dimitri was the only one left now. At this point he was broken. More people to join the dead and haunt his nightmares. Lysithea licked her lips and didn't waste a second to go straight for him. He didn't bother to fight back or even struggle. What was the point? He closed his eyes... and met the end.
"That was delicious!" The snow haired girl cheered while she rubbed her stomach. I have to remember to ask Mercedes if I can cook with her one of these days."
