Cheater, cheater, (infected) donut-eater...

“…And THAT is why you will NEVER, EVER find me shamelessly stuffing my face with these carb-laden, sugar-saturated, nutritionally EMPTY, FITNESS-SAPPING circles of deep fried LARD!” the Chief concluded after a full 10-minute monologue on the evils of junkfood. “We have a RESPONSIBILITY, everyone! We have PERFORMANCE targets to hit! And we have got to stay in SHAPE to do that.” His glare swept the room, nostrils flared, eyebrows glowering. “GOT THAT?”

“YES CHIEF!” everyone chorused nervously. Some were even standing to attention.

Satisfied that his pep talk had gone down well, Bogo turned- pointedly dropping the boxes he still held into the trash can- and stomped down the hall back to his office, shoulders squared, horns held high.

When the door had clicked behind him, the Chief’s tongue snaked out and surreptitiously licked the powdered sugar he could feel tingling on the bristles of his chin. And now they were in the trash, he was confident that none of his officers would notice that a donut was missing from the top box. Alright, make that two- after all, he needed to keep his energy levels up. But the important thing was- everything in moderation. He’d do a few extra reps down the gym tonight, some extra crunches, and it would be like those donuts had never happened.

Satisfied that his public image was safely upheld, the bulky-armed buffalo threw himself down into his chair and began puzzling over the latest crime reports- amongst them, a number of nutritional scientists who had recently disappeared, not to mention several prominent personal trainers, and one Gideon Grey, baker.

Inside his button-up shirt, Bogo’s flat stomach gurrrgled.

An hour later, the Chief-

1. Went out on patrol with one of his officers

2. Headed for the precinct vending machine- he needed a SNACK!
