Byleth was sitting at their desk in their bedroom grading the students work for the day. It wasn't bad, but could be better. An extra lance tutorial here, another horseback lesson there, and overall everyone needed work in authority, but they were still processing. Byleth was proud of their students. Byleth was just staring blank faced as always at the papers when a voice came out of nowhere. "Rejoice! For I have more good news for you!"
Byleth sighed, Sothis, the Goddess who shared their headspace seemed to have something to say, and she was very excited to share the news, whatever it was.
"Don't just sit there with that blank look of yours, be happy, for I have recalled an ability that I have and now you can use it as well." Sothis said with her usual air of superiority. Byleth wanted to just brush this off, but her time travel ability had saved Byleth and their students more times than they could count, so Byleth put the grading quill down and listened to what Sothis had to say.
"I have recall the power of Transferance! You now have the ability to place your mind into the body of whoever you see."
"..." Was all Byleth felt like responding with, this certainly sounded interesting, but how could it help as a teacher? The use wasn't very obvious.
"You dolt. Of course the use is obvious. You can swap into the body of an enemy on the battlefield and toss their best weapons away leaving them for easy pickings." Byleth sighed at Sothis' complaints. Byleth tended to forget that Sothis could read their mind. So Byleth though loudly in Sothis' direction, "Yes, it seems useful and I'll have to use it, but I'm more worried about how I can use this to help me teach my students, that's my priority right now."
"Well...just use it! And find out, and don't worry about how the students will react, when you swap I'll be the one in charge of your body unless you ask otherwise. The person you swap with will be in an unconscious state within our subconscious."
"Well, I guess that's one less thing I need to worry about." Byleth said getting up, Byleth decided to go ahead and try this crazy power on one of his students. Perhaps a way to help teach them would pop up by doing this.
"One last thing!" Sothis said as Byleth stood. Byleth waited for the response but Sothis seemed almost embarrassed to say. Finally after a minute Sothis said, "I kind of forgot, are you a boy or a girl?"
Byleth sighed, Sothis practically asked this once a month at this point, it was rather annoying. Perhaps one day they'd say the opposite just to mess with Sothis.
