Sorcha's first instinct is to tell her cousin no. After all, the reason Sorcha got her fellow kitsune to put a profile on the Monstr App in the first place was to force her cousin to expand her life beyond home and the clinic. But the big puppy fox eyes that Mandy was giving the redhead were just too much for Sorcha to say no to.
"Okay, I'll hang around until I either see you and this human are comfortable around each other, or you need to be extracted." Mandy laughed, clapped her hands, then gave the other kitsune a big hug. Sorcha hugged her cousin tightly, before pushing her away.
"So we still need to get you dressed for your date," Sorcha announced. "Where is this human taking you out on your date?"
"Carl," Mandy began, putting a little emphasis on the human's name, "Suggested we stay at his house for a little bit to get to know each other better.,Then he said we could go to a sushi place that he eats at all the time. He said the atmosphere is casual, but the food is really good."
Mandy didn't know it, but Carl wasn't planning to take her anywhere. The "get to know each other" chat was going to be Carl's attempt to prove that Mandy wasn't a kitsune and, by extension, that the Monstr App was a fraud.
