Chapter #4Entering the Dragon's Date by: Reborner Green scales with yellowish underbelly, red eyes behind some circular glasses sitting on his snout; over 10 feet tall when he's on all fours; a fat gut with an even fatter ass; and two black spiky horns above his head. That was Drako Flametongue. The dragon had lived over several centuries and was very lonely because of it. Only his fantasy novels made it easier to bear with and his favorite was when there was a dragon holding a princess hostage before fighting against the knight sent to rescue her, regardless of the result. However, this only made his heart ache more and he would repeat this cycle until he heard about the app. It didn't take much to convince the reptile and he immediately downloaded the app before building up his profile. However, because he was a dragon, it made things hard for him to meet people and he eventually wondered he did something wrong before getting a ping from a Cindy Smith. The two chatted for a while and once they known each other for over three months, decided to meet up in real life with Cindy's friend, Sam.
Now, Drako was internally freaking out as he waited for the two and was checking the time as it came closer to the scheduled meeting time. Numerous bad thoughts came into his head and Drako tried to calm himself down with his new fantasy novel, but he could barely pay any attention to it.
"Excuse me, but are you Drako Flametongue?" A mousy voice called up to Drako and he looked down.
Standing beside him, was a mousy woman smaller than the average person and was dressed up as a fellow bookworm. A green turtleneck and jeans, as her glasses glinted through her long, blue dyed, messy hair. While she didn't look much, for the dragon, she was princess material.
"Cindy Smith?" He replied back with a question and all tension was released when she smiled and nodded.
"Hard not to spot you out here by yourself," Cindy joked before noticing his book in his claw.
"Is that the newest edition of the Dragon Hunter series?!"
"When you have plenty of gold around, it's pretty easy to get stuff like this, though a pain to convert into useable currency. Anyway, just started and so far it's amazing like its precessors. Won't spoil anything and..." Drako said, trying to get through his nervousness and excitement about his book before a voice interrupted him.
"Hey, Cid, aren't you going to introduce him to me?"
Blushing over her excitement about her date's book, Cindy turned towards the newcomer and introduced them.
"Drako, remember Sam, the person that wanted to join us because that special clause you added in," Cindy said, stepping aside as a {Reader's choice} stepped forward. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
