This choice: Jessica, the woman he met before • Go Back...Chapter #4Jessica, the woman he met before by: cheese111 Slim was hiking down the narrow trail, eager to meet up again with his date. She'd been sending him all kinds of teasing messages, looking forward to their date. He wasn't wholly sure what she had in mind, but he was happy to just meet someone like her. The parking lot was relatively close by, though he didn't plan to go all the way there. They agreed to meet up a little bit off the trail so any other hikers that might be there wouldn't cause a scene.
A few minutes later he heard someone up ahead on the trail. Slim quickly hid behind a few trees, his pudgy frame making it difficult to be fully concealed. Carefully he peeked to see if this was just some random hiker or his date. He'd never felt this nervous around humans before. Normally he'd just barge down the path and they could get out of the way or else. Why was he suddenly acting like this? He couldn't ponder on his little anxieties any longer when he heard a distinct voice call out.
"Slim? You out there?"
It felt like a boulder just slipped off the frog-man's shoulders. He emerged from behind the tree, waving his arm and greeting her. "Hey there. Good to see you again." Jessica didn't even seem remotely shocked to see him skulking through the woods like that. He quickly closed the distance and extended a large hand. She felt a touch intimidated as the pudgy monster stood a solid three feet taller than her, but she wouldn't show it. His skin was a little damp and remarkably smooth, surprising giving his rough outdoorsy lifestyle in his swamp. She giggled as she could tell he really held back on his handshake, not wanting to hurt her. Slim cleared his throat and finally found the words he wanted to say.
"So Jessica, shall we go to my place? I mean, we can go somewhere else too if you've got plans, but I reckon most human places might give me some weird looks." He got increasingly flustered by the word, seemingly forgetting he was by now holding on to her hand for an awkwardly long amount of time.
Jessica calmly put her other hand on his and in her most soothing voice responded. "That would be lovely."
"Do... do you want me to... carry you?" Slim asked nervously, finally letting go of her hand. Jessica blushed, thinking about the sensation of those big, strong arms lifting her off her feet. "Only if I'm not too heavy for you. I don't want to be a burden."
The frog-man smiles and leans down, one arm behind her back and another behind her thighs. In one seamless sweep he picks her up, cradling her like a child. He blushes brightly, giving her a reassuring look. "You're even lighter than I imagined." He flexes his muscles a little, rocking his date back and forth to get her as comfortable as possible. Jessica was feeling more than a little flustered. Firstly by him picking her up with such ease and secondly by him seeming having no problems carrying her. She thought he'd give it a gallant try and set her back down after a few steps, but he really didn't mind carrying her in his arms for miles. It felt strangely romantic, the two exchanging many amorous looks on the way to Slim's home.
The landscape quickly turned from the small woods near the parking space to the familiar swampland that housed the frog-man. His humble abode wasn't too much further. It was a ramshackle construction, but Slim had spent the last week repairing many of the holes in the roof and tidying up the worst of the trash. He hasn't had to give a damn about the state of the place for years, since nobody ever visited him. But now he wanted to really try and impress the woman in his arms. By his estimate he was doing a good job so far, given all the loving looks she gave him.
Along the way they talked about many things. Their shared love for nature, how cute dogs were and how aggravating most other hikers were. Though their methods for dealing with the worst of them did differ a little. Jessica proudly explained how she told off a few hikers that were littering. Slim responded by talking about how he followed a few litterbugs and ate them whole. His big belly grumbled a little at the memory, making his date feel nervous. He quickly reassured her though that he would never dare to eat someone as pretty as her. They arrived at his home shortly thereafter and the frog-man carefully carried his date inside, finally setting her down on his couch. Her perched his heavy rear down beside her, unsure of what to do next. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
