Chester, a werebear

"Good evening." A deep voice growled. She had exchanged pictures before but Simone still found herself flustered and surprised to see him in the flesh. Chester was a werebear, a freakish mix of human and ursine features. He stood just a little taller than the door frame, his broad chest and slightly pudgy belly covered in thick brown fur. His arms and legs still seemed mostly human, but his feet were thickly padded and clawed. Similarly his fingers were tipped with fearsome black claws. He didn't wear any clothing bar some tattered briefs, covering up his crotch. It gave her plenty of thickly-furred, muscular bear body to admire. One of those strong hands held a modest bouquet of flowers. With a nervous shuffle he handed them to his date.

"Wow..." She says slowly, feeling somewhat relieved this wasn't all some elaborate joke. The bear man just chuckles. "Hehe, I don't get that a lot from humans. It's mostly screaming and running for their lives."

"Running? From a handsome, kind fellow like you?" Simone jokes, beckoning him to enter as she leads the way. Chester ducks down a little to fit through the door, his large frame only barely allowing him to squeeze through. He knew this was going to happen and with a kind, patient smile he followed her into the living room. The werebear carefully stepped on the carpet, trying to make sure his claws wouldn't inadvertently damage the floor.

The living room was candle-lit and she gestured towards the couch. Chester slowly sat himself down, not wanting to break her furniture with his weight. "It's okay, if it can handle two of my fat aunts, you should be fine." She says with a giggle. He lets out a sigh of relief. Something tells the woman this has gone horribly wrong on a previous date for him. "Just relax for a minute, I'll get the food and put these away." She points at the flowers as she wanders into the kitchen. A minute later she returns, holding a large serving tray with two plates.

Chester laughed as he saw the uneven portions on the plate. Simone had cooked a whole chicken, but only put a single leg on her plate, letting the werebear have the rest. She also replaced his cutlery with a chef's knife and a large table fork to accommodate his oversized paws. "Figured you'd appreciate something a little bit more your size. Besides, wouldn't the regular silverware cause problems for you or is that only werewolves?"

The werebear let out a thundering laugh. "Haha, those stories are a bit exaggerated. First it'd have to go into my bloodstream so you'd need to stab me with the silverware, and I don't think this is that kind of date." She laughs in response. "Second, it's more like an allergic reaction. If I get to a hospital I'll be fine. but enough talk for now, this food looks absolutely delicious."

She blushes a little at his compliment and prepares to dig in. How are Chester's table manners?
