Angela resisted temptation for an unprecedented fifteen seconds before her thumb flew back to the "Mind Control Pheromones" button and tapped the "Divine Command" option. Red text flashed on the screen.
"Warning," it read, "Statements made with the Divine Command option can cause physical changes in inanimate objects. Unintended consequences may result. Proceed?"
She hadn't even realized she had pressed the "yes" button when a strange feeling filled her. It wasn't warmth, or even a physical sensation beyond the excited pounding of her heart. If felt more like...pure confidence? The smell of cinnamon filled her nostrils once again; Angela inhaled deeply, nearly losing herself in the scent of her own power, before her eyes snapped back open. What the hell did "physical changes in inanimate objects" mean? Inanimate objects didn't have minds to control. It had to be an exaggeration to keep users in line.
"Then again..." she mused. She turned to the front door of her house. "Open."
The knob and deadbolt turned in unison, and the door swung open.
"Oh wow," Angela whispered. She strode out the door. "Close."
She didn't bother to turn around and watch the wood and metal obey her commands. It was time she had a little fun. She...
