Despite wanting to give you the benefit of doubt, the fact that an employee of this store has seen him buy diapers a few times before concerns her.

However, what he said is also true. Perhaps there is a reason you've been picking diapers...or perhaps not. Either way, what could a mother do?

For now, she adds the package of diapers and continues shopping. After checking out, she sees her husband Eric remaining in the car with his eyes closed and seat reclined.

She hums internally, wondering how she should break the news. Upon opening up the trunk to stuff the groceries in, Eric opens his eyes and yawns, readjusting his seat back as his wife finishes unloading the cart.

Once done, she enters the drivers seat but doesn't restart the car. She narrows her eyes and hesitates which Eric picks up immediately.

"What's wrong, babe?"

"Well...I saw our son."

"Huh? He was here? Wait, isn't there a store closer to our home?"

Jane takes a deep breath and leans back. "There must be a reason. Honey, I know this is going to be strange but...I saw him try to checkout some diapers."

Eric blinks. "What?"

"...and I talked with an employee who confessed this isn't the first time."

"What? That's ridiculous, Jane. We haven't seen him needing any diapers. Why would he buy it for himself? Are you sure it's not for someone else."

"...but Eric...he freaked out when he saw me."

Eric widens his eyes. "Huh?!"

Jane continues, feeling guilty and hopeful that her husband would understand. "I wouldn't have brought this up but I'm sure I definitely heard him say he...liked them."

Becoming quickly weary of this conversation, he tries to dismiss it. "Babe, this is crazy-"

"Eric, I'm serious!"

Seeing a fierceness in her eyes, Eric quickly shuts up and then comes to an understanding that this may be real. If so, it's troubling.

"Jane, he probably didn't expect to see us so early and it's our fault for not calling him sooner. Even if it may be true, let's give him the benefit of the doubt."

"That might be the right approach but...I'm going to talk with him."

"What? Embarrass him and tell him not to buy diapers again?"

This is where things might become weird. Jane hesitates a little before sighing. "I...bought some diapers that he was about to buy before he left them."

"Wait, what?"

"Eric, this sounds strange but...I want to support him. If it's nothing, it's nothing. If he has a problem that he's been hiding from us, then I want to at least offer my support. Is that alright?"

Eric closes his eyes and pinches the bridge of his nose. "You've always been overprotective of him..."

"Eric, please..."

"Look, I understand. I think you're blowing this out of proportion though. In any case, he's also my son. If there is a problem, I'll also be here to work it out with him."

Figuring that would be enough, Jane smiles and leans over to kiss her husband. "Thank you, honey."

"Fuck, fuck!"

Back at home, you scramble inside your room. This might possibly the worst day of your life being caught like that. You try to blame it on your parents at first, figuring they should have let you know first but then you also know you're at fault, for having a fetish like this.

You grew too confident, thinking you'd be able to hide this quirk about yourself.

Now, what do you do? Despite your panicked attempt to reassure her, you knew that your mother wouldn't forget this. You hoped to god that your father didn't know any more about this either.

"Shit, what do I do?" you say, biting your fingernails.

You were too busy panicking and trying to figure out your way to explain this all out that you didn't realize how quick your parents would be driving behind you coming home.

You hear a knock at your door causing you to freeze. It was your mother.

"Sweetie? Can I come in?"

Realizing you couldn't panic a second, you try to contain your racing heartbeat and clear your throat. "Um...just give me a few seconds."

Trying to recollect yourself, Jane made a second bombshell that causes you to pale.

"I...also brought the diapers you were going to buy. Sweetie, I know this is strange but...I'm not angry. Can we talk?"

What? Why would she buy diapers? Even if she was concerned, wouldn't avoiding it be the better choice overall?

What do you do?

You have the following choices:

1. Talk with her, but be more honest this time.

*Pen*
2. Try to play it off for a school project.

*Pen*
3. Something else.

*Pen* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
