You'd can't quite learn to properly do ...

Once the servant brought out the small wooden blade and handed it to the princess she began demonstrating how to weild it properly.
"Alright now you hold it like this Will,with two hands because Link is a pro or so he claims he's able to use one hand! But here do exactly as I do!" As she handed it over to you.
"Okay this part is easy,now how do I fire one of those fancy beams?" You asked.
"Ummmmm that's a bit hard to explain,according to Link you must aim properly at something focus the magical energy within the blade and I guess it zaps whatever you're pointing it at! I only used it one time,swords really aren't my choice of weapon,I prefer bows myself but go ahead and see if you can do it." She cheered you on but no matter how hard you tried or focused you just couldn't get it down pat.
"Dang it! I thought I had it right that time!" You grumbled as the princess had a few servants bring out some empty food carts for you to practice on but none of them got zapped.
"Humph! I told you princess,this guy wasn't a hero! Link would have had this thing licked by now! Besides all this boy knows how to do is that k....whatever it is with his hands and feet and that's not even that interesting if you ask me!" Spryte whispered in her ear.
"Oh hush Spryte,you're just peeved because Link isn't here! And this 'karate' is a very fascinating thing to me! This boy is very smart andvery cute...he just needs more practice." But much to her disappointment two hours later you still couldn't get it right.
"Darn it! This is harder than I thought how does Link and everyone else make it look so easy?" You grumbled even more as the princess came over to you.
"Oh don't be gloom Will,you did your best!" She said compassionately putting a hand on your shoulder "So swordsmanship isn't the best thing for you,well we'll just have to try something else won't we? Hmmmmmm....now whatever is there?" She wondered out loud.
"Maybe you can have him be the 'test dummy' for Link to practice on once he comes back!" Spryte joked from the sidelines.
"Spryte, be nice to our guest!" Zelda scolded angrily and embarrassed "Sorry about her Will,she's just upset that Link left but anyway let me see if there's something else you can use as a weapon....." As she departs into the royal weapon vault Spryte pretty much refused to look at you,turning her head whenever you glanced in her direction.
"Sheesh and I thought Navi from Ocarina of Time was annoying!" You thought
"Okay I'm back and I managed to find....." Zelda came back with a.....
