Poppy never really stood out from the crowds. This wasn’t exactly a bad thing, because she could go about life as she pleased, and barely a soul would notice, but if she actually needed someone’s attention, it was an issue sometimes.

In the throes of her awkward teenage years, Poppy wasn’t really sure who or what she liked. Boys? Girls? Who knew right now. It meant being social either way, but she had plenty of time to figure that out.

Before that though, she was going to have to figure out how to live the rest of her life at 6 inches tall.

Yup. Thanks to a freak accident where she was doing her own thing and got hit by a beam of light from the sky, Poppy was shrunk down to just six inches almost immediately.
