Chapter #4

Saved by a shadow

    by: Unknown
In front of you, razor-sharp fangs; behind you, an abyss of no return that led to a certain death; all around you, pink muscles and a red floor that fidgeted constantly, causing you to feel nauseous. The drops of saliva that kept falling from the palate, soaking you to the bone, didn't really help with that.

But unlike the freezing outside, the insides of the Umbreon's mouth were warm, the risk of freezing to death was null in here. That obviously was a dumb thought, because you could die in two different ways in here: either torn apart by the teeth or falling down into the stomach, into the Umbreon's digestive tract, which was going to be your end unless you found your way out in time.

And the thought of crawling through this beast's intestines surely didn't seem appealing to you.

"Let me out!" you cried once more while doing your best to stand back on your feet; the slippery tongue made such task practically impossible.

You were ungracefully flipped over and fell on your rear into a small puddle of saliva under the large red muscle.

Soon enough, the tongue was on you again.

It began licking you as its owner tasted you.

Your heart began beating faster. Was this Umbreon really going to eat you? You only came to the woods to take a break and you end up eaten by a random pokemon.

Your grave was going to be a stomach, and no one would have ever known you were dead.

The thought sure left a bitter taste in your mouth...

You felt movement and the mouth shook all around you; the Umbreon was probably walking around, you figured while the tongue swept you up and took you on top of itself again.

Saliva build up all around. Thinking about, you had been in here for a while already, why didn't the Umbreon swallow yet.

You were given no time to ponder about it, because the tongue suddenly moved again; it rose rose up, shoving you against the palate, crushing you in between tons of sticky flesh.

"LET ME OUT!" you screamed once more as you fidgeted, desperately hoping to convince the giantess to not eat you.

But there was no way out of here unless the Umbreon willed it.

... Or unless you used your intellect to find your way out of this mess!

"I'd be more useful alive! I-I... I can be a pet or something, just don't eat me!" you shouted.

The idea of submitting to this dark-type wasn't really one you'd call appealing, but is was surely better than melting away into a stomach, spending you final moments wondering what did you do to deserve all this.

You opened your mouth to make a second offer, but you were immediately silenced by a particularly big drop of saliva falling right on your head and into your mouth, choking you.

Utterly disgusted, you spat out the saliva that wasn't yours.

Outside, the Umbreon kept walking through the woods as she headed home, thinking about her latest catch.

A shrunken human no less.

She felt the little guy struggle and plead inside her mouth, and she somewhat enjoyed it, like she enjoyed his taste.

However, as much as she wanted to swallow right now, Umbreon was a lot more interested in examining the little one when he was alive.

She just needed to get home, or other pokemon could have stolen you from her. No one was taking the human she had taken for herself until he was in the relative safety of her mouth.

The dark-type moaned as she tasted you once more.

It was sure getting hard to fight back the urge to swallow...

--

An eternity of you pointlessly fighting back the giant tongue passed.

You tried countless other times to convince the Umbreon to let you go, most of those ending with you getting a mouthful of spittle.

Beaten, tired and unable to formulate anymore pleads, you simply laid still on top of the tongue as it tasted you repeatedly.

You didn't have the strength to fight back anymore.

Suddenly, your surroundings began to shake once again, like they hadn't in a while now; the tongue began moving beneath you as it dragged you forward.

This was it, you bitterly thought, you were going to be thrown in the back of this beast's throat, only to be then swallowed, providing the Umbreon a nice midnight snack before she resumed her nighttime walk, completely forgetting that you ever existed while you faced a painful death in her stomach before your corpse was disposed of in the most humiliating way you could think of.

Such thoughts, you figured, were worthy of the most obnoxious nightmares of the human mind.

But this was no nightmare, it was the hard reality: you were about to be eaten!

You watched with horror as the tongue rose up again and... cold.

The warmth of the slippery cave rapidly dissipated as cold air entered; you began sliding forward, carried by a thick glob of saliva. Then, something hard under your back as your location was shifted from the Umbreon's insides to a stone floor.

Your eyes met with the sight of the dark-type giantess staring at you, those bright red eyes of hers focused on your form and a curious expression on her muzzle.

"H-Huh...?"

You took notice that you were inside of a cave. Not exactly the warmest place you could think of, but surely better than the frosty forest.

You stared back at the Umbreon with the same interest, wondering the reason why she hadn't eaten you like she probably intended...

Realization hit you: this giantess probably never wanted to eat you, she just took you away!

For what reason, you could only wonder.

Your eyes once again locked with the red ones of the Umbreon that kept staring at you, examining your naked, saliva-covered body with interest.

You could at least understand that, it's not every day a pokemon can meet a shrunken human. And, most importantly, it's not every day a human gets to randomly shrink down, although, between the cold and the near heart attack you got from being almost eaten by the same Umbreon, you quickly decided that you already had your taste of being small, and you didn't like it one bit.

The red gaze of the Umbreon was truly unnerving though, which was empathized by the fact her oculars were absolutely gigantic. Plus, it didn't speak a word and the silence only contributed to make you feel even more uncomfortable.

To keep your mind off things for at least a moment, until the Umbreon decided to do something with you, you decided to take a look around.

This cave seemed deserted, but it was really big, you noted.

Who knew, maybe there was another or more inhabitants inside?
