Reporting to the lake

Sam and Dean were surprised to hear the voice telling them to come to the lake. "You think we should do it?" Dean asked, and Sam said, "Really, this is the only way to find out what's going on here." and Dean said, "But we should at least be cautious in case it's a trap!" and Sam said, "That's what I was thinking. We just need to spring the trap carefully so we can see what happens."

The two brothers resolved themselves to going to the lake. It was quite a beautiful morning, and the camp didn't feel as creepy as it should have. They followed corny wooden signposts that directed them to the lake. As the lake came into view, the two noticed that...
