Once home, they looked at their purchased trinkets and discovered that they had inscriptions: “Become What You Seek” on the gold coin and “Shape What You Were” on the silver. Thinking they were just words of encouragement, Paula decided to pocket the gold coin, her mind set firmly in the future, while Jed kept the silver coin in his, wishing his life had turned out differently.
