As Johnny and his mother disintangled themselves from the two chairs, the look the latter gave the former was telling. "Huh... mom, I don't understand what went wrong, that should have worked. We should have been able to... "
"To what, sweetie?" His mom sighed, standing up and holding her head for a moment.
Johnny was drawing a blank. "To be honest... I'm not 100% sure. But it should have done it, and we should be... I don't know, be able to understand each other better, to improve our relationship." he sighed, more out of dejection than annoyance like his mom was feeling.
"Honey, our relationship is fine, we're mother and son, I love you! We wouldn't be a normal family if we didn't have disagreements now would we?" His mother said to him, putting her hands on her hips and smiling at him. "Now, if you're done wasting my time?" she added, arching an eyebrow.
"I guess. Erm... thanks for doing this anyway." Johnny thanked his mother, while scratching his head.
"No problem." His mother nodded, before exhaling slightly again to show her disapproval of his 'antics'. Leaving the shed, Carla left her son on his own to try and figure out what had gone wrong with his latest invention.
"Now, let the autopsy begin." Johnny mumbled in irritation, eyeing up the two vacated chairs in front of him.
