Jake knew that in order to get Packmaster’s group to help out, Epsilon would be the one he’d have to report to. The disgusting husky always had a thing for him, and could convince the others to follow if she wanted to. Jake cautiously approached the cell, his gut feeling as if there was a rock in it. No doubt Epsilon would want something... it was what she would want that made him nervous.
The anthro was practically waiting for him, posted up against the back wall of her cell, eyeing Birdboy with a look that was just a little too close to bedroom eyes for his comfort. “Would you look who’s come crawling for me to help...” Epsilon giggles and pushes off the back wall, stepping closer to the bulletproof glass that separates them. “And just what is it you need, Mr. Superhero?” Jake took a deep breath, and straightened out his back. “I need people tracked... not just any people. Some of the most powerful villains in existence.” Epsilon laughed and turned around, making sure to tauntingly wag her tail at him as she walked to the back of her cell again. “Sounds a little dangerous for my liking. You have fun though, Birdboy!” Her laughter was supposed to indicate that this conversation was over, but Jake was desperate. He needed to find out where the immortals were hiding out. “Wait!.... please. I need your help... I’ll-....” Jake swallowed the last of his pride, and his nerve. “I’ll do anything.” Epsilon finally turned around, with a large grin on her face. “That’s what I was waiting for, dear boy.”
Jake could already feel as if he was making a mistake, but it was too late to back out now, and he needed the help. “Tell you what. When you get out of here, while the Packy and the other four are out searching for the Immortals location, you and I are going to be taking a detour. Back to our lair... and back to my room. And once we get there, you’re going to do everything I say, until they get back. Understood?” Jake felt his stomach sink deeper, but it was too late to back out, and if he did, he’d be stuck with no leads.
“Fine...” Jake took what might be his last breath of fresh air for awhile, if Epsilon had her way....
So Packmaster and the other four dogs set out to search for the Immortals, and Jake and Epsilon headed back to Packmaster’s lair. Once inside, Epsilon lead Jake to her room....
