“No!” screamed Megan, fighting against her restraints. “Daddy, help! Don't let him do this to us!”
Steve fought furiously, but found the same restraints that held his daughter also quite effectively trapped him.
Von Strasser ignored the chaos and began once again activating his machine. The computer rattled and hummed as before, while Von Strasser repeated his previous experiment, only this time with Megan and Steve as the victims.
Father and daughter both froze in the movements, other than some minor twitching of an occasional finger or the fluttering of an eyelid. The strange, mechanical caps on their heads buzzed and vibrated for at least thirty or forty seconds. Von Strasser watched with clinical detachment. Janet, trapped in her son's body, frowned but remained silent, fearful of upsetting the mad scientist. Alan turned away, unable to watch what was happening to his dad and sister. He simply stared down in disgust at his swollen, middle-aged breasts.
Eventually, the buzz and hum of the machinery slowly started to lower in volume and pitch. A puff of foul-smelling smoke shot out from somewhere behind the computer.
“So?” Von Strasser asked the apparently unconscious bodies of Steve and Megan. “Did the psyche relocation process work a second time? Tell me who you both are.”
